Chapter 49: A choice Made

"Then make me get it" I told her "Because from where i stand, all i can see is you talking yourself into thinking that this is what you really want."

Her lips parted but no words came out.

She wasn't entirely lost.

Not yet.

I took another step.

"You told me one time that you were afraid to lose yourself," I breathed. "That if you let this darkness in, it would take everything about you that made you you."

Her fists bunched.

"You're right" I struggled out "I don't understand all of this and i don't understand what you're doing or what happened to you but I do know you Emilia"

My voice softened. "And this? This isn't you."

Her breath caught.

The bastard's silver eyes narrowed.

And then, before I could react, he shifted.

Fast. Too fast.

A vicious impact slammed into me, and I flew across the room.
