Wrong Body, Wrong World

"We are all faced with great opportunities, disguised as impossible situations"

Waking up is a phenomenon everyone experiences. You wake up from your sleep, open your eyes, and immediately get flashed by sunlight. You put your hands in front of your eyes, cursing the sun, but then you realize that your hands are bigger, then you slowly get up and realize that you are in a different body.

Yes, that is exactly what is currently happening to me.

"What the hell?" I whispered, looking at the unfamiliar windows through which the sunlight was creeping in.

I got up from the bed, no familiar creaking sound coming from it. My feet landed not on the tiled floor I was used to, but on floor made of polished wood that seemed too comfortable to step on.

Trying to make sense of everything, I looked around the room I was in.

It didn't seem like I was kidnapped and used as a specimen for experimentation.

I walked up to a mirror, which had a shining gold frame.

A silent, empty laugh escaped my mouth, devoid of any humor.

"Seriously now?" I muttered, the voice deeper and heavier than my own, as I looked at the abomination inside the mirror with disbelief.

A pale face with ominous tattoos running across its throat and arms reaching its forehead. Slits under each eye, which only emphasized my memory of the familiar face.

I touched my face and it felt very real, the information my senses were taking in felt way too vivid for it to be a dream. This wasn't a dream, nor was it an elaborate prank, but reality.

Memories of my life flashed in my mind - the mundane, monotonous school life now replaced with this.

"I look sick though," I truly did. I tried to smile at the mirror, which unintentionally turned into a smirk, exposing my fangs, and I looked damn evil.

Anyhow, as of why I'm acting like this, well, I'm Sukuna.

. . .

Elaborating more, I currently look like Sukuna as he did in the manga when he was possessing Megumi. I can't remember the manga that well, so I can't point out any small changes.

I had basically accepted all this information, it felt weird that I was not freaking out, I think the disbelief had numbed my senses.

Anyhow, the first course of action is to obtain more information about my whereabouts and . . . identity?

There was a little table on the side of my bed, on it was kept a little plate on which were cookies which looked absolutely delicious, their aroma tempted me to try them once. They looked crisp yet soft at the same time, adorned with chocolate chips on top of them, they really looked like something one would dream to have as a snack every day.

Taking my mind off the distraction, I noticed a mobile phone placed next to the plate.

I picked up the mobile phone as well as a cookie and sat on the bed, it had no password lock for some reason. Such a careless fellow its owner was.

.

I scrolled through the internet for about 30 minutes, absorbing all the information thrown at me, and now, I can firmly say . . .

Hunter Union, Hunter Association, Dungeons, World Nobles, all this seemed too familiar to a game I played a few years ago.

When I was 14, this game blew up, so I can remember a lot of events and characters, even if a little vaguely.

Logging into the Hunter Union website, I saw a lot of documents, a lot of laws which were not covered in the game at all.

This game's story twisted into reality was far more difficult than any level.

As for the information I got about myself, I am the heir of a World Noble family surnamed Ryomen.

I was born without mana, hence called trash and stuff, but I was known for my intelligence and knowledge.

Problem is, this family didn't exist in the original game.

Moreover, adding a set of people so influential would have definitely caused a huge change in the storyline already, which might make my knowledge useless.

But, some events would be unchanged even after the insertion of my family, some that do not concern people at all.

Anyhow, as of what a World Noble is, they are influential families directly under the Hunter Union, which is a union consisting of many countries who have been either taken over by, or have accepted to serve under the Hunter Association.

Normal nobles were the high-ranking families of countries not coming under the Hunter Association, or families living in the territory of the Hunter Union, but not serving under the Hunter Association.

England is one of the only remaining big nations not under the Hunter Union.

This world had a strength-based hierarchy, though not too strict. For example, my parents were not too strong compared to other World Noble families, but they were known for their intell-

A sudden, intense pain gripped my head. It was one of the worst headaches I had felt in my life, the old one. I fell onto the bed clutching my head with my hands.

Fortunately, the pain did not last for more than 10 seconds, and with it came memories, flooding into my poor brain that had to handle the load of two people at once.

According to my memories, I did have a different power than mana, but I was never able to use it... except once.

I suddenly remembered all the novels I had read, and considering the originality of the author, I tried something.

'System,' I mentally said.

A translucent screen appeared in front of me.

Thankfully, it was not a sentient system, and it also looked like one that only tells you about your levels, not help you increase them.

Under the [Skills] tab, I could see a blank space.

...

Wait, that ain't right.

'Close,' I said mentally, the system window closed.

'System,' I mentally said once again, but there was no difference.

What the hell.

I scrolled won into the stats section.

Now that I look at it, these stats are completely cracked, they would literally be close to that of the strongest people in the current timeline.

Problem is, my physical attributes are complete crap.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door.

A servant entered and said with a practiced bow, "Sir, your parents request your presence."

"Tell them I've got plans," I said with a little smile on my face.

The servant seemed to be confused, but realized that she was staring and left quickly.

'He has never smiled before,' were her current thoughts.

Continuing, there was a skill, [Unshakable Heart], which said: Your heart, honed by hundreds of life and death battles, will never waver in front of an adversary.

Cool, I guess.

I scrolled down and saw the [Extra] Section.

The text in it basically said that the amount of Cursed Energy I had was multiplied by 2x and the effects of my Cursed Techniques were multiplied by 1.5x, in exchange for physical prowess.

Problem is, I don't have any Cursed Technique right now, do I have to do something to awaken it?

Wait...do I have to die again?

As I was slightly panicking, the system played a sound. My heart skipped a beat as I looked at the message.

[1x Cursed Technique added, proficiency 0%, increase proficiency to unlock skills]

I breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at the skills section, it was filled with the stuff we all love...Dismantle, Cleave, Domain, ???.

...

Wait, what's '???'.

I guess I'll figure that out later.

The important thing now is what I should do in this world.

Firstly, no interest in building a harem.

Like, have you ever thought how weird polygamy is? Even if we take out the weird part, can you think how hard it is to keep more than 2 women happy?

Ahem, both emotionally and 'physically'.

Alright, we leave that topic behind.

I believe that I have already caused changes in the storyline, so just doing nothing will still cause problems.

So I guess . . . I'll live this life to the fullest, huh?

A little chaos never hurt anybody . . . permanently, let's say it causes character development.

I edited this chapter and all the comments are gone (╥_╥)

Anyhow, make this story more popular . . . gimme POWER STONES.
