Chapter - 60 : Chatting with The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign!!!

Inside the Primal Chaos Bead, Long Chen, while having chat with his soon-to-be Master-- The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign, was also meticulously sorting through his collection of treasures, ores, orbs, and ancient relics when a sudden wave of dizziness struck him. A piercing pain shot through his body, and in an instant—

Splurt!

A mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips.

His vision blurred, his mind felt sluggish, and his body grew unbearably heavy, as if the weight of a mountain had crashed onto his soul.

The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign, who had been watching over him, frowned deeply.

"Kid, stop resisting and rest!" he commanded, his voice carrying undeniable authority.

Long Chen, wobbling unsteadily, waved a hand dismissively. "I'm fine—wait, no, I think I'm fainting—"

And just like that, his body collapsed, dropping like a sack of rice.

As his consciousness faded, the Dragon Sovereign let out a long sigh.

"Tch. Stubborn brat."

The reason behind his sudden collapse?

The Jiuli Runes.

The knowledge of these runes was so ancient and powerful that even knowing about them triggered karmic backlash. It was a burden that no ordinary person could withstand.

But Long Chen?

He wasn't ordinary.

And soon, something even stranger occurred though something that had happened before.

Deep within Long Chen's consciousness, something stirred.

The air crackled with an otherworldly presence. The aura around him shifted, twisting into something entirely different.

It was still Long Chen, but at the same time... it wasn't.

The tone of his voice changed. The essence of his being transformed.

The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign, who had been observing him through their spiritual connection, felt a jolt of shock.

His ancient eyes widened in recognition.

His voice, usually gruff and unreadable, was now trembling with something close to rage… or fear.

"You… YOU!"

The aura of this awakened presence sent a shiver down his spine.

"I cannot forget this… this hateful aura! This soul presence—!"

His voice carried thousands of years of emotions.

Not hatred, but something close to it.

He took a step back, eyes narrowing. "How… how are you still alive? You damn Nine Star—!"

Before he could finish his sentence, the other Long Chen—the awakened soul—interrupted him.

"Shh! Stop it!" he whispered sharply. "Don't call me by my name. Or any alias. If you do, they'll know. The Nine Heavens will know."

The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign froze, his fury instantly cooling into grim understanding.

A heavy silence settled between them.

Then, with a deep sigh, the Dragon Sovereign shook his head. "Right. I had better forget it."

But he wasn't about to let this go.

Crossing his arms, he eyed the awakened presence with deep suspicion.

"Now answer me," the Sovereign demanded. "Why are you doing this? Why did you let Long Chen inherit this power?"

The other Long Chen smirked, his expression unreadable.

"What, you disapprove?" The Dragon Sovereignsnorted.

The other Long Chen said with serious tone, "Tch. That brat is supposed to be the bearer of the Nine Star lineage. His karma belongs to the Nine Star Line, NOT the Dragon Race! Why the hell did you let him inherit dragon blood as well?"

At this, the Dragon Sovereign chuckled.

"Heh. You're still alive after all these years, and yet you still don't get it?"

Then, Dragon Sovereign narrowed his eyes. "Are you going to take over his body yourself?"

The other soul frowned. "No. Why would I do that?"

The Sovereign's gaze sharpened. "Then what is your end goal?"

For a moment, the mysterious soul was silent. Then, smirking, he spoke in a teasing, sarcastic tone, "Really? You're still pretending to be oblivious? Do you seriously think I'd be dumb enough to carry the karma of the Nine Star Line all over again? Hah! Give me some credit."

The Dragon Sovereign's expression darkened. "Then answer me this, you arrogant bastard—what the hell is up with him?!"

The Dragon Sovereign wasn't one to fo things recklessly.

He had seen countless Nine Star heirs throughout history.

But Long Chen?

He was different.

And dangerously so.

Glaring at the awakened soul, he asked, "Have you seen his Astral Chart? Anything odd about it?"

The other soul tilted his head. "And?"

The Dragon Sovereign scowled. "I've seen hundreds of Nine Star heirs in my lifetime, but NONE of them had an Astral Chart before the Fifth Divine Ring!"

His voice turned even colder. "And yet this brat—he already has one."

A deep silence followed.

The awakened soul's smirk faltered.

But the Dragon Sovereign wasn't done.

"And another thing—explain to me why he has those Vortex in it."

The other soul frowned. "So what about the vortex?"

The Dragon Sovereign sneered. "Oh? You don't know? Then let me break it down for you—his Astral Chart contains a vortex, something that shouldn't exist as it represents the Primal Void Vortex of Chais Hole that existed outside the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths and to be exact something similar to either the Creation or End of a World just like our Nine Heavens!"

The awakened soul's smile vanished.

For the first time, the awakened soul seemed… stunned.

The Dragon Sovereign continued, his voice filled with suspicion. "And it's not just that. His Core Essence isn't normal. It contains not just the Jiuli Rune—but also a Dragon Blood Rune… AND a Phoenix Blood Rune."

"Explain how the heck is his luck so Great!!??"

The Dragon Sovereign smirked.

"Shocking, isn't it? That his Karmic luck and fate is not bounded only to Nine Stqr Line."

What followed next was… chaos.

The two immensely powerful beings—each carrying untold wisdom and experience—began…

Bickering.

Loudly.

For hours.

They threw sarcastic remarks at each other.

Mocked each other's intelligence.

And even argued over who had the bigger grudge against fate.

It was an endless cycle of:

"You're an idiot!"

"No, YOU'RE an idiot!"

"What the hell is wrong with your brain?"

"Your face is what's wrong!"

They raged.

They clashed.

They yelled like two kids fighting over a toy.

Until finally—

Long Chen's consciousness stirred.

His eyes fluttered open—

—only to see the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign making a ridiculous face at him, pulling down one of his eyes like a child.

For a moment, Long Chen just stared.

Then—

"PFFFFT—!!"

He burst into laughter.

The Dragon Sovereign immediately snapped back to his grumpy self, his expression darkening and hitting Long Chen with a fist made upof Spiritual Strengh he yelled:

"What are you laughing at, brat?!"

Still laughing, Long Chen wiped a tear from his eye. "Grumpy old man, just you wait! I'll get my revenge for this someday!"

In the depths of his soul, the awakened consciousness, unknown to Long Chen, was watching.

And chuckling.

h everything settled, Long Chen took some time to sort out his thoughts and regain his strength.

And then—he returned to his comrades.

Joking, Laughing, Preparing for 1st Xuantian Monastery.
