Chapter: Exile Cul

Despite the high degree of completion, the item's level remained at six. Forseti hoped that enchanting the sword would push it over this hurdle.

He turned to the page detailing the revenge feedback enchantment, placed the Sword of Rivendell on it, and summoned the holy deed to apply the enchantment.

Golden-red rays of light shot out from the holy deed, entwining the Sword of Rivendell like a net. The radiance pulsed on and off, and the enchanting process took significantly longer than before. Previous enchantments were nearly instantaneous, but this time it took several seconds for the golden-red energy to fully penetrate the sword.

After the enchantment, the blood-colored inscription on the sword was brighter, appearing as if it was flowing with blood.

Forseti placed the sword on the drawing for identification again.

**[Completion: Beyond]**

**[Item Level: Level 7]**

A level 7 item! This level was equivalent to the talent mixture and was a full two levels higher than the Hand of Antuthul.

Forseti swung his sword a few times, feeling elated. This Sword of Rivendell was likely to serve him well for a long time. Its strong quality and the difficulty of crafting a superior weapon in Asgard meant he would probably need to go to Nidavellir and seek the help of the dwarves for his next weapon.

Back home, Forseti wore the sword around his waist and posed in front of the mirror, feeling the heroic image reflected back at him.

As he admired himself, he suddenly remembered something and took out a pair of golden gloves from the Holy Deed space. He had acquired them from the Eternal Flame God's power and called them "flame gloves" for now.

Forseti had already experienced the power of the flame gloves. They significantly enhanced the divine flames he could summon from his hands and were exceptionally strong, with sharp blades as a routine operation. However, the gloves had notable drawbacks: they consumed a lot of energy and were incompatible with any energy other than flames.

Wearing the flame gloves made casting Holy Light spells very difficult and inefficient. This left Forseti wondering if he should use these gloves.

After some thought, he decided to consecrate one glove first. Consecration would naturally make the glove compatible with Holy Light. Though the process was time-consuming and laborious, consecrating one glove was acceptable. He would decide about the other glove later.

Before leaving the mirror, Forseti couldn't resist putting on his gloves and snapping his fingers. The metal gloves made an unpleasant rubbing sound.

A few days later, Forseti received an order from the Einherjar to go to the Asgard palace and meet Odin.

"Your Majesty," he greeted upon arrival. He noticed Scala was also there and greeted him as well, "Master Scala."

Scala had a close personal relationship with Odin. After Odin came to power, Scala, apart from Odin himself and Hela, probably held the highest status in Asgard, serving as the Prime Minister and the royal housekeeper.

"You're here, Forseti," Odin said with a smile. "I sent you to Midgard on a mission earlier, but I didn't expect you to deal with Apocalypse along the way. I had planned to personally handle Apocalypse after the Asgard affair. You brought me another surprise."

Forseti thought it seemed that Apocalypse was destined to be defeated, even without him and the Brotherhood of Aegis, Apocalypse would have met his end at Odin's hands.

"In the recent battle, your performance was equally astonishing. Nur and the Eternal Fire God were both defeated by you. By the way, you are now one of the most renowned Asgardians among the Eternals," Odin continued.

Forseti was a bit surprised. From Odin's words, it seemed that the Eternal whose gloves he had taken held a high status.

"According to Asgard's regulations, you need to be at least 100 years old to be promoted to the fifth-level military rank. However, in view of your excellent performance, I have decided to promote you exceptionally."

Odin then handed Forseti a letter of appointment: "Forseti Garrison, from now on, you are the fifth commander of Asgard. There is also a bounty of three thousand runes as a reward for your exploits."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Forseti said.

"You deserve it," Odin smiled, then added, "One more thing."

"Although Cul betrayed Asgard, out of mercy, I do not wish to kill him. I plan to seal him in Midgard and let him die there quietly," Odin said slowly.

"Forseti, you have spent considerable time in Midgard and must be familiar with it. You and Scala will lead the team to Midgard to set up the seal."

Forseti replied, "Yes, Your Majesty."

Odin encouraged and chatted with Forseti for a while longer. During the conversation, Forseti asked, "Your Majesty, has Princess Hela awakened?"

"Not yet," Odin shook his head with a sigh. "I hope she awakens when you return."

Leaving the Asgard Palace, Forseti went to organize a team.

Three days later, the twelve-member team gathered in front of the Bifrost. Most were his former teammates, like Skurge, Ander, and Diops. Additionally, Shilut was also there.

"Forseti, your sword is truly impressive!" Ander said, trying out the Sword of Rivendell before handing it back.

Forseti smiled, sheathed his sword, and was about to say something when he saw Scala leading a team of mages from a distance.

At the front of the mage team, besides Scala, was a long-haired middle-aged man in a green robe—Odin's brother, the former Asgardian King, Cul.

Cul was bound by chains shaped like lightning, with cloud patterns flowing on them, exuding a strong sense of oppression, similar to the energy net in Ullr's cell.

Forseti already knew that these chains were actually transformed by Odin's divine power.

"Stand up, it's time for us to go," Forseti ordered, picking up Shilut, who was rolling on the ground.

"Master Scala," everyone greeted.

Scala nodded and said, "Let's go."

Cul asked, "Where is Odin going to banish me?"

"You'll know when you get there," Scala replied, walking ahead, followed by the warriors and mages.

Cul resisted, but the divine power chain held by Scala forced him to follow.

The group arrived at the teleportation hall. Asgard's new gatekeeper held the sword of guardianship and asked, "Where is the teleportation?"

Forseti took out a map, pointed to a location on Earth, and said, "Here."
