Odin vs Surtur
"Surtur, it seems you still refuse to repent," Odin declared, pointing the Spear of Eternity. "This is your final chance. If you persist, I must deliver justice."
Surtur's flames intensified. "Odin, your actions will bring Asgard to ruin!"
"Boom!"
Thunder cracked the sky.
Accompanied by the thunderous roar, Odin's voice resonated, as if the heavens themselves endorsed his words. "Submit or face destruction."
Surtur glared hatefully at the Spear of Eternity pointed at him, gripping the Twilight Sword tightly.
"The Flame Giants shall never surrender!" With a defiant roar, he leaped from the volcano.
"Boom!" Like a mountain, he vaulted into the air, reshaping the nearby terrain, tearing the ground as magma erupted.
The Twilight Sword emitted fiery light, descending upon Odin like a solar flare.
Odin remained impassive. Swinging the Spear of Eternity, arcs of lightning converged, forming a colossal shield.
"Boom!"
The Twilight Sword collided with the Thunder Shield, thunder and flames clashing in a dazzling spectacle.
The Thunder Shield shimmered under the assault, revealing Surtur's prowess as the second mightiest in the Nine Realms—a great cosmic force.
The flames on the Twilight Sword intensified, casting blinding light that forced onlookers to shield their eyes.
With the Spear of Eternity, Odin twisted the Thunder Shield, unleashing a burst of blue brilliance as dozens of lightning bolts shot forth.
"Boom!"
Surtur, his massive form difficult to evade, took the brunt of the assault, the thunderous blows resounding.
Staggering back, Surtur splashed lava from his feet into the magma river, groaning in pain. His chest bore cracks from the thunderous barrage, but in moments, the fissures healed, leaving no trace.
Surtur touched his forehead with two fingers in meditation.
Suddenly, he rapidly shrunk from mountainous height to roughly five meters, comparable to Odin atop his eight-legged steed, Sleipnir.
As Surtur shrank, flames intensified, transforming him into a fiery orb, brighter than the sun.
"You won't sustain this state for long," Odin remarked with a smile.
Surtur said nothing, launching himself at incredible speed, leaving dazzling afterimages in his wake.
Simultaneously, Odin moved, eyes flashing as twin arcs burst forth before disappearing with Sleipnir.
"Boom boom!"
Thunderous echoes reverberated for over ten minutes, a symphony of thunder shaking Muspelheim's burning skies, nearly tearing them asunder.
Observers saw only Surtur's blazing orb streaking across the heavens like refracted light, tracing intricate paths.
"Boom!"
A deafening crash marked Surtur's fiery orb slamming into the ground, vanishing into its depths, its depth beyond measure.
Odin staggered into view, panting, body marked with burns—a testament to the ferocity of their battle.
Beneath the impact, the earth for kilometers melted into magma, billowing heat.
From the molten crater at Surtur's impact, he emerged.
His abdomen and one horn were damaged, evidence of the recent battle.
But in moments, flames mended the damage, restoring him to pristine condition, albeit slightly dimmed.
"Odin, flames cannot kill. I've burned for eons," Surtur proclaimed.
"Is that so?" Odin snorted, the Spear of Eternity gleaming. His form shimmered with rainbow hues akin to the Bifrost.
Rainbow light coalesced around Odin, transforming him into a figure of vibrant hues.
"You know naught of Asgard's power!"
Before the words finished, Odin vanished, reappearing before Surtur in an instant, spear blazing.
Startled, Surtur dodged, hurtling like a meteor to evade the Spear's wrath.
"Boom!"
The Spear of Eternity struck magma, annihilating several kilometers in a brilliant rainbow display.
Similar devastation unfolded elsewhere, reduced to ash.
Half of Muspelheim's Burning Realm lay in ruin. Had both Asgardians and Muspel forces not evacuated, countless lives would have perished.
Shocked and enraged, Surtur had no time to react.
Odin materialized, the Spear of Eternity piercing Surtur with radiant rainbow light.
"Boom!"
Surtur could not escape. Struck by the Spear, one leg disintegrated into fiery shards, then nothingness within the rainbow's brilliance.
With Surtur's leg destroyed, the rainbow shot into the sky, vanishing amid the vast cosmos.
As the rainbow streaked through the universe, a frail elder traversed the starry expanse near Muspelheim.
Golden-skinned with a blue gem embedded on his forehead, an oddity in appearance, he floated through space, brows furrowed in contemplation.
"Hmm?" The elder noticed something amiss, turning to behold a burst of colorful lights swiftly enlarging.
"Not good!" His expression shifted to alarm as he dodged, radiating golden light, skin glistening like molten gold.
But it was too late.
"Argh!"
Amidst his cry, the radiant rainbow consumed him.
