Mangog
Who is Mangog? Strictly speaking, he is not an individual.
Since becoming the god-king of Asgard, Odin led the Aesir to conquer the universe, establishing the supreme majesty of Asgard, and all nations came to pay tribute. But behind these countless victories and glory, there were numerous killings, and hundreds of millions of lives perished at the hands of Odin. The god-kings of Asgard are among the most feared and hated beings in the universe. Many undead cursed Odin with their dying breaths.
In the end, the endless resentment of these undead over great time somehow coalesced into one extraordinarily powerful evil creature: Mangog. Or maybe his creation was initiated by some enemy of asgard.
In essence, Mangog is the embodiment of Odin's sins and hatreds. To a certain extent, he is indeed Odin's judge.
In the comics, Mangog is described as one of Asgard's most fearsome enemies, and Forseti had heard of him. Unexpectedly, the day Thor was born coincided with Mangog's arrival.
Dark clouds gathered in the sky, and many distorted and blurred faces appeared, as if countless hated faces were biting and roaring at each other. A strong sense of oppression and evil aura pervaded Asgard, and everyone felt an imminent threat.
"Odin, you may not still remember me!" Mangog's tens of thousands of composite voices sounded again, creating an uncomfortable buzzing in everyone's minds.
Odin recognized a few familiar voices and couldn't help clenching the Spear of Eternity. "What exactly are you?" he demanded.
"I am your doom, your judge," Mangog declared. "Today is Ragnarok for Asgard. Your crimes will be reckoned with. When you slaughtered billions of souls, did you ever think about this day?"
"Judge me?" Odin snorted coldly and swung the Spear of Eternity.
"Boom!"
Accompanied by dazzling thunder, a huge bolt of lightning shot out from the Spear of Eternity and struck the black cloud. The black clouds surged, swallowing the lightning silently.
Then the thick clouds condensed, and a huge figure emerged.
This figure was as tall as an attic, with khaki skin and a bloody face, as if it had been skinned. He was ugly, with fangs and horns, resembling many demonic images.
"Go to hell!" Mangog roared and rushed toward Odin with incredible speed.
"Boom!"
A loud bang echoed as Mangog's giant fist blasted a huge pit into the ground, shaking the very earth.
Despite Asgard's unparalleled terrain, Mangog's blow caused immense damage, making the entire realm feel the tremor, highlighting his formidable strength.
Odin dodged Mangog's attack but quickly shouted, "Activate the guardian magic!"
A golden light curtain surged up, forming a dazzling energy shield around the Golden Palace. Odin attacked again, rolling up thunder around him, and streaks of dazzling lightning clashed with Mangog.
"Boom, boom!"
Like his duel with Surtur, Odin and Mangog's battle was far beyond the comprehension of onlookers, who could only detect flashes and loud noises followed by destroyed ground and buildings.
After a while, both combatants reappeared. Odin staggered back, gasping for breath, his expression filled with worry. Mangog, unscathed, clearly had the upper hand.
"Fate has asked me to judge you. I am your nemesis, Odin. You can't defeat or kill me!" Mangog's thousands of voices echoed in Odin's ears.
Before Mangog finished speaking, a dazzling white beam pierced his chest like a sharp sword.
"Ah!" Mangog cried out in pain.
Not far away, a handsome man stood with a long sword in hand. He exuded a dazzling brilliance, like the incarnation of light. The white beam had shot from his sword.
This man was Balder, the god of light in Asgard.
Impaled in the chest by Balder, Mangog showed no sign of dying. He bit his fangs and squeezed his hand, causing blood to surge and the white beam to dissipate.
As the beam disappeared, the wound on Mangog's chest healed instantly, like water closing over a split.
"Humph!" Mangog snorted coldly and turned to attack Balder.
Balder dodged but was caught by Mangog, who held him in his massive hand.
Mangog's claws tightened around Balder. "God of Light, your ability is troublesome, but you are too weak," Mangog said, his voice layered with contempt.
Balder cried out in pain, his body radiating a fiery light that burned Mangog's claws. Mangog ignored the burning and tightened his grip.
Seeing Balder about to be crushed, Odin attacked with the Spear of Eternity wrapped in thunder, aiming at Mangog's head. Mangog's other hand, bloodied, grabbed the spear.
At that moment, an ice-blue beam of light shot from a distance, blasting Mangog away.
"Ullr!" Odin exclaimed, seeing Ullr rush in. His voice held a mix of surprise and gratitude. "Thank you."
"I'm here for Asgard," Ullr replied lightly, not looking at Odin again.
As Mangog struggled to regain his footing, Tyr, the god of war, appeared behind him and delivered a powerful kick.
"Boom!"
Mangog crashed into the ground but quickly recovered.
Odin, seeing his chance, joined forces with Ullr, Tyr, and Balder to besiege Mangog. Despite his resilience, Mangog was overwhelmed, steadily losing ground. Though he seemed immortal, recovering even from head wounds, each recovery shrank his size and weakened him.
"Boom!"
Mangog was blasted away again but retreated to avoid further assault.
"Do you think I fight alone?" Mangog taunted, drawing with both hands as surging blood radiated from him. Before he finished, portals began appearing across Asgard.
