[ Proxima Midnight]
Turunaar galaxy, Krilar star.
This planet was crucial for the Kree, although their true home planet was Hala, not here.
In a conference room on this planet, the Accuser Corps, one of the most violent institutions of the Kree Empire, was holding a meeting.
"Leader Kulan, with all due respect, I believe attacking the Skrulls alongside Thanos is a poor decision," said one of the bald accusers.
Accuser leader Hulan hadn't spoken yet, but other members retorted, "The Skrulls have never been our adversaries! Moreover, we have a powerful ally; Thanos' strength is undeniable."
"But Thanos faces formidable enemies. A thousand Aesir gods oppose him, with the Sun God frequently leading the charge. We stand no chance against him. If we attack the Skrull fortress together with him, Asgard's troops may come to their aid."
The retort came, "Our combined fleet has amassed significant power; crushing the Skrull fortress will be straightforward. By the time Asgard realizes, the fortress will lie in ruins."
"But what if Asgard gets wind of this and sends reinforcements to the Skrulls in time?"
"Do you suspect treachery?"
The bald accuser said, "Skrulls are born spies; caution is warranted... Though there's no precedent of Skrull infiltration in the Accuser Corps so far."
"Even so, there's no need for concern. Do you still think Asgard poses a serious threat?"
Bald accuser: "The Strength of Aesir is written in blood ; the strength of the Asgardians is unquestionable. Though we've become the strongest technological empire, arrogance doesn't suit us."
At this point, Hulan spoke with a resonant voice, carefully measured: "Enough debate."
"Asgard has been in decline, and Odin is aging. Currently, only a thousand Aesir soldiers are deployed across multiple battlefields. Facing a large force is improbable for us."
"Moreover, the Accuser Corps has never leaked information, and Thanos is no slouch in that regard - you're familiar with the Chitauri's capabilities. Fearing Asgard's preemptive support for the Skrull defenders is unnecessary."
"...The Bro's Fortress is the Skrulls' most pivotal fortress planet. Its destruction means they can never regain strength. The significance is clear." Hulan's leader spoke slowly.
The bald accuser fell silent and replied, "Understood, sir."
"And above all, soldiers, show your mettle!" Hulan continued, his tone rising, "As the pinnacle of intellect and the most trusted within the entire empire, we have no cause to be timid or fear sacrifice!"
His booming voice reverberated in the conference room, resonating with many, especially one young Accuser, Ronan.
Soldier's backbone—a simple yet potent statement that stirred him.
Young Ronan gazed at Hulan, the leader of the Accuser Corps at the center of the conference room, visibly admiring.
"Prepare for battle; the Kree and Skrulls have been at war for ages; it's time to end it." Hulan said.
"Yes."
Days later, on the Skrull Empire's most crucial military fortress, Star of Borus.
Forseti and tens of thousands stood stationed here alongside Skrull defenders. The team comprised about 500 Aesir warriors and other rebels like Human Paladins and Ravagers Corps.
"Brother-in-law, it appears this will be quite the battle." Thor, also part of the team, looked at Forseti excitedly.
At that moment, Talos said, "At least for us Skrulls, the scale of this battle is unprecedented. Throughout history, there has never been a battle of this magnitude against the Kree, especially with so many Asgardian gods present."
Thor swung Mjölnir, saying, "Fear not, Talos. I shall teach these Kree a lesson. As for Thanos, sooner or later, I'll sever his head with my own hands."
Talos chuckled, "It seems your hammer isn't quite up to that task."
"Then I'll smash him," Thor replied.
Forseti's forces awaited in the fortress as the skies darkened. Thousands of warships descended from space into the planet's atmosphere, accompanied by dozens of Leviathan beasts, darkening the sky.
"Here they come." Talos said tensely.
"Prepare for battle!" Forseti commanded the warriors behind him, wielding the Sulfuron Hammer.
As the first battleship became visible, Thor led the charge, swinging Mjölnir and soaring skyward.
Forseti unleashed the Wrath of Retribution, his wings of Holy Light propelling him toward the combined Kree fleet.
"Boom boom boom!"
Forseti and Thor were like opposing meteors, piercing through several battleships in succession, catching the Kree and Chitauri Legion off guard.
"They're Asgardians!"
"They've arrived ahead of schedule! Blast it, could there truly be Skrull spies within the Accuser Corps?" The enraged Kree Accusers shouted.
On the Chitauri flagship, a black-clad woman with long hair, Proxima Midnight, one of Thanos' five Obsidian Generals, watched with dark eyes. She had envisioned a flawless joint operation, only for it to be compromised by Skrull infiltration.
With the Asgardians here early, a fierce battle ensued—a battle that might well end in failure.
"Boom!" Suddenly, a thunderous crash rocked the battleship's exterior. A tall, bearded young man swung in, wielding a square, short-handled hammer, dragging a beeline for the command room.
"Feel the wrath of the Thunder God!" Thor roared, swinging Mjölnir. A bolt of azure lightning shot forth, aimed squarely at Proxima Midnight.
Proxima Midnight gritted her teeth, halted her momentum, then backhandedly swung her halberd. A bright yellow beam streaked from the blade's edge.
"Boom!"
The two clashed within the battleship's command room, their exchanges quickly tearing through the spacecraft.
Amidst the fray, Forseti appeared at the breach in the battleship, surveying the scene, and extended his hand.
King's Blessing!
Radiance surged forth, enveloping Thor's body in armor blessed by the King, transforming him into a golden visage.
