Chapter 26 : My sister’s beating hurts a lot!

...

"Hello, seniors."

Watanabe was as respectful as possible and saluted everyone.

The Great Elder waved his hands cheerfully: "No need to be so polite, since you are sitting at this table, you are one of us!"

He is a smart man. The fact that Mito arranged Watanabe to sit at the same table with them means that he is special. Combined with what Nawaki said before about proposing marriage, he has already guessed that Watanabe and Tsunade have a close relationship.

"Your name is Watanabe, right? Which ninja clan are you from? If you tell me, I might know the elders in your family." The great elder Senju began to get close to him.

Watanabe shook his head: "I am a commoner, not a ninja."

"Commoner?"

The elders were stunned for a moment, then their eyes lit up.

Commoners are good!

Commoners can marry into the Senju clan instead of Tsunade marrying out.

Compared with Tsunade marrying into other ninja clans in the future, they would rather  find a husband for Tsunade who would live with her family, which would be more beneficial to the development of the Senju clan.

"Being a commoner is fine. You have a clean background and don't have any complicated relationships with other ninja clans. How many people are there in your family now?" Great Elder Senju continued to interrogate with a smile on his face.

Watanabe just thought the old man was just talking nonsense and answered his questions one by one.

But as the Great Elder asked more and more questions, he gradually felt that something was wrong.

' Why do I feel like my household registration is being checked? ' Watanabe thought.

' The elders of Tsunade's family are so enthusiastic. It seems that they want to find out all my details. I am obviously just a classmate of Tsunade. '

Watanabe complained secretly, always feeling that something was strange.

After dealing with the Great Elder for a while, tonight's birthday party finally officially began. All the guests who were supposed to arrive had arrived, and there was no need to wait for those who had not yet arrived.

Mito and Tsunade stood in the centre of the banquet hall and gave a speech to everyone. The two generations of grandparents and grandchildren looked like a pair of sisters. The general meaning of their speech was to thank everyone for taking the time out of their busy schedules to come and celebrate Tsunade's birthday.

Watanabe took the time to look around and he saw many big shots at the scene, such as Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo, Utane Koharu, Mito, Kado En and other core leaders of Konoha.

'This is the treatment of top white, rich and beautiful women!'

Watanabe was inspired.

If it were any normal time, he could only stand far away and watch the heroic performances of these big guys, but tonight because of Tsunade, he was qualified to have close contact with the Hokage and others.

Then Watanabe turned his gaze to Tsunade. Tsunade was wearing a light blue dress tonight. She had a very tall and perfect figure. The luxurious dress perfectly outlined the curves of her chest and hips. Her face was beautiful and stunning, and she looked like a rich lady.

' Many years later, Tsunade will surely become an influential figure in Konoha.

We are still children now, and Tsunade's thinking is not mature yet. I don't know if she will still be willing to maintain friendship with me when she grows up... '

Watanabe clearly felt the gap between him and Tsunade, and he was a little dazed for a moment.

"Watanabe."

Nawaki suddenly leaned close to his ear and whispered.

"What's wrong?"

"Is my sister pretty?"

Nawaki pointed at Tsunade who was following Mito around the table and being polite to the guests.

Watanabe suspected that there was something fishy about his words, and answered hesitantly: "...Of course she is beautiful."

Nawaki showed disdain on his face: "Huh, I knew you guys all like pretty girls!"

"…"

Watanabe was speechless. It sounded as if you were not a man yourself.

Nawaki rolled his eyes and suddenly tugged at the corner of Watanabe's clothes: "Let's go out for a walk. It's too stuffy inside."

"Okay."

Watanabe actually doesn't like occasions where many big shots gather. After delivering the cake, his mission for the night has been accomplished.

The two men then slipped out of the hall. Elder, who was sitting at the same table with them, thought they were going to the bathroom and they didn't ask any questions.

When he came to the street, the air suddenly became fresh and cool, and Watanabe felt refreshed.

Nawaki got straight to the point. He had a lot to say at the dinner table just now, but he couldn't say it directly: "Watanabe, what has happened between you and my sister?"

"Um?"

Watanabe was stumped by the question and didn't quite understand what Nawaki meant.

Nawaki gestured with his hands, putting his two thumbs together: "Did you kiss? What about hands? You must have held hands!"

Watanabe: "…"

He suddenly understood why Nawaki always wanted to marry his sister off. If he had a brother like that, he would feel at a loss if he didn't beat him three times a day.

"Tsunade and I are just friends. What you said is something only couples can do." Watanabe patiently explained to the little brat.

Nawaki was greatly surprised, his eyes widened: "Aren't you and my sister a couple?!"

"…at least not now."

Watanabe's answer shocked Nawaki. Ever since Tsunade was away from home every day a month ago, he has regarded Watanabe as his future brother-in-law.

After a long pause, Nawaki finally came back to his senses and continued to ask, "So do you want to pursue my sister?"

Watanabe originally wanted to answer that he was not worthy, but what Nawaki said made him inexplicably moved.

Yes, if he could catch up with Tsunade, would he not have to pay back the huge amount of money he owed?

He asked back in a mysterious way: "Can I?"

Nawaki pondered for a moment and said with embarrassment: "Of course you can. My grandma has a good impression of you, but... My sister's beating hurts a lot!"

Watanabe laughed when he heard that. If it didn't hurt when your sister hit people, I wouldn't have chased her.

His original purpose in approaching Tsunade was to get beaten.

"It's okay. I'm very resistant."

Nawaki stared at him strangely, thinking that Watanabe was really desperate to pursue his sister. With his small body, if his sister punched him, he would probably kneel down and beg her.

"Well, I have no objection. You can do whatever you want."

' That's all I have to say. I just hope Watanabe won't regret it when he screams in pain from being beaten by his sister in the future.' Nawaki thought.

Watanabe smiled on the surface, not taking Nawaki's words seriously. What does an eight-year-old child know? Children just say what they want.

The dignified Princess of Konoha is not someone he can pursue whenever he wants. If he fails, he and Tsunade won't even be able to be friends in the future.

"You may not know what happened to my sister in the past, so I'll tell you everything." Nawaki began to expose Tsunade's dirty laundry.

"Not only does my sister hit people hard, she's also a gambler, just like my grandfather..."

"She used to love gambling. Her grandmother didn't allow her to go to the casino, so she would gamble with me in private. I couldn't read the dice, and I didn't know whether I won or lost. She took all my pocket money for no reason."

"But since a month ago, my sister has been leaving early and coming back late every day, saying that she wants to train with you. Finally, she has stopped secretly gambling with me..."

Nawaki was very active in revealing information, and Watanabe found it interesting to listen to. He didn't expect that Tsunade had such an unknown side.

Tsunade is such a beautiful and cool girl, she can't be associated with the word "gambler" at all.

Nawaki was so excited about digging up his sister's dark history that he and Watanabe walked back to the entrance of the mansion without realising it. He saw two figures in front of the gate, and one of the figures scared him so much that he jumped up on the spot.
