Three Days To Ruin!

(What was that?....)

Ryuu stood frozen, staring at Ryoko, his heart pounding as a singular question echoed in his mind.

Everything else seemed to fade—the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, even the sounds of their hurried footsteps.

All he could focus on was her unwavering presence.

"Hey! Aramiya-kun, stop daydreaming! We need to reach the headquarters now!"

Shigeru's sharp voice snapped Ryuu out of his trance.

He turned to see his mmaster, usually calm and collected, walking briskly ahead, his tone carrying an urgency Ryuu had never heard before.

Ryoko looked at Ryuu as she approached him.

Without hesitation, she grabbed his hand. "Let's go,"

She said gently, her voice calm yet filled with resolve. Before Ryuu could react, she was already pulling him toward the others.

Ryuu's mind was a whirlwind, unable to focus on anything except the sight of Ryoko. Her graceful movements, her strength, and the faint smile that graced her lips captivated him.

Suddenly,Ryoko stopped as she turned to face Ryuu.

"Ryuu-kun...let's save the future, together!".

She said, her smile was radiant, almost ethereal, as if she were a fairy descended to Earth.

The wind swept through her hair as they ran, its silky strands brushing against Ryuu's face.

Despite the chaos around them, Ryuu couldn't take his eyes off her.

Her strength, her determination—it was as though she carried the weight of the world with unshakable grace.

They begin to run a hint of smile of both of their faces as they reached the other.

"Let's move. Matthieu is waiting for us at the main highway."

Shigeru said as they all hadbegun to rush toward the highway.

The group emerged from the dense forest onto a winding road that stretched toward the horizon.

Standing beside a black car was Matthieu, pacing nervously.

His face lit up with relief the moment he saw them.

"Sir Shigeru! You're all alright! What happened? Why couldn't I reach any of you yesterday?"

Shigeru waved a dismissive hand, his expression grim.

"No time to explain. We need to get to headquarters immediately. This is an emergency."

Matthieu's relief turned to concern.

He froze, shocked to see Shigeru—always so calm and in control—looking like this.

Sweat rolled down his face, and his usual calm expression was replaced with worry and tension.

It was clear that something big had happened.

"Understood," Matthieu said after a moment. "Everyone, get in the cars!"

The urgency in his tone spurred them into action.

They climbed into the vehicles, the silence inside heavy with unspoken fears.

As they drove, Ryuu sat in the back seat with Ryoko beside him. She stared out the window, her expression thoughtful.

Her fingers tapped rhythmically against her thigh, a subtle sign of her own unease. Ryuu wanted to say something, but the words wouldn't come.

In the front seat, Shigeru was lost in thought. His fingers drummed against the armrest, a rare display of his inner turmoil.

Akiko sat beside him, her eyes filled with worry.

It was now midnight, the group entered the city of Paris.

As soon as they arrived at the headquarters, Shigeru wasted no time.

He pushed open the car door and strode toward the entrance with purpose.

The others hurried after him, struggling to keep up with his pace.

The main hall was vast and bustling with activity, but the moment Shigeru approached the reception desk, all eyes turned to him.

"Call the Head Advisor,"

He said, his voice commanding.

"Tell him Morishita Shigeru demands an emergency meeting.

Every high official must be present."

The receptionist blinked, startled.

"B-but the Head Advisor is currently in a meeting with international officials—"

"I SAID IT'S URGENT!"

Shigeru's voice thundered, silencing the murmurs in the hall.

"Call him. Now!"

The receptionist nodded quickly, fumbling with the phone.

Shigeru turned away, pacing the length of the hall.

His hands clenched and unclenched at his sides, a visible manifestation of the storm brewing within him.

In the waiting room, tension filled the air like a tangible force.

Shigeru moved restlessly, his footsteps echoing against the walls. Akiko approached him, placing a calming hand on his arm.

"Shigeru,"

She said softly, her voice steady despite her own unease.

"I know this is serious, but you need to stay calm.

Everyone is looking to you for guidance. Losing your composure will only make things worse."

Shigeru exhaled sharply, nodding.

"I know,"

He admitted.

"But this… this is bigger than anything we've faced before."

Before she could respond, the doors burst open.

Micheal Étienne and several high-ranking officials entered, their expressions a mix of irritation and concern.

"Sir Shigeru, what's the meaning of this?"

Étienne demanded.

"First, you go silent for an entire day, and now you're summoning us out of the blue. What's going on?"

Shigeru met their gazes, his voice steady yet grim.

"Mont Blanc is going to shatter."

The room fell silent, the weight of his words sinking in.

"E-excuse me?"

Étienne said after a long pause, disbelief evident in his tone.

"You heard me," Shigeru replied. "In three days, Mont Blanc will collapse."

Étienne frowned.

"W-what are you saying? T-that's impossible. Mont Blanc is a mountain—it can't just collapse. How do you know this?"

Shigeru's expression darkened.

"Because we were told....By a demon. No… by a mega demon. An S-rank."

Gasps filled the room as the officials exchanged stunned looks.

"A-an S-rank demon?" one of them stammered.

Shigeru's gaze hardened.

"Do you think I would make something like this up?

"Yesterday, when we entered the forest leading to the town near Mont Blanc, we stumbled upon thousands of Top B-rank demons,"

Shigeru began, his voice steady but laced with unease.

"At first, they seemed weaker than we expected, almost as if they were holding back. It wasn't a battle—it was a warning."

He paused, his expression darkening as he continued.

"When we dealt with those demons and reached the town at the base of Mont Blanc, it was… a nightmare.

Blood was everywhere. Bodies were torn apart. The air reeked of death and despair. This wasn't just an attack—it was a massacre."

The officials exchanged uneasy glances, their faces pale with dread.

Shigeru's voice dropped lower, trembling slightly.

"And then it got worse. From the top of a nearby peak, hurdles of demons began descending, their shadows stretching across the blood-soaked land.

We readied ourselves for a fight, but instead of attacking, they landed right in front of us.

'We don't wish to harm you,' they said. 'Our lord wishes to meet you.'

We had no choice but to comply. Most of us were injured from the earlier fight, and we couldn't risk further losses.

So, we went with them, and they took us to him."

The room grew silent, the tension thick enough to cut with a blade.

Finally, Shigeru spoke again, his voice heavy with the weight of his revelation.

"The S-rank demon, Keron… and the Third Rakiel."

Shigeru said leaving the others in confusion and shock.

"He told us two things," Shigeru said, his voice dropping to a near whisper. "Mont Blanc will shatter in three days.

And… that the Demon King is alive."

The words hit like a thunderclap.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"

Étienne exclaimed.

"The Demon King sacrificed himself centuries ago to activate the Resurrection Array. Everyone knows that!"

"I know that the demon king sacrificed himself and can't be alive....Unless,"

Shigeru said, his eyes narrowing,

"we weren't told the full truth."

Étienne's voice trembled as he replied,

"What do you mean by 'we weren't told the full truth'? The Demon King died! The records prove it.

The Resurrection Array required his soul to function, otherwise the Array hadn't activated."

Shigeru took a deep breath, his piercing gaze sweeping the room.

"Yes, that's what history claims. But think about it," Shigeru began, his tone serious. "The Resurrection Array was a heavenly technique, primarily used by the Devas. A magic of such scale and complexity might not function in ways we can comprehend. What if the Demon King never truly sacrificed himself?"

The room went still, the officials exchanging confused and uneasy glances.

"W-what do you mean by that?" Étienne asked, his voice full of disbelief.

The silence deepened as Shigeru continued, his voice low but firm.

"I mean that... yes, the Demon King did sacrifice himself to activate the Resurrection Array.

But along with the other demons in the Array, he too was resurrected.

The Resurrection Array is a divine technique, far beyond the arrays we know. It's not something we can fully understand or compare."

His words left everyone in stunned silence.

"It's just a theory," Shigeru added, his voice trembling slightly with the weight of his assumption. "But if what Keron said is true... then it's the only explanation that makes sense."

Fear was evident on everyone's face. The Demon King—the one who had once stood alone against the Devas—was alive. And now, with the power of the Resurrection Array, he was even stronger.

Questions swirled in their minds: What would become of humanity? Could they survive this? How could they possibly fight against the Demon King?

The weight of uncertainty hung heavily in the air.

Shigeru finally broke the silence, his voice steady but grave.

"There's no need to worry about the Demon King just yet.

When we were unconscious, Keron came to me in a dream. He said there's still time before the Demon King fully returns.

Our immediate concern should be Mont Blanc."

Étienne stepped forward, his brows furrowed. "But why would a demon help us?"

Shigeru's gaze tightened as he replied, "That's what I want to understand most of all…"

Tension was thick on Shigeru's face. He couldn't fathom why Keron, a demon, would be aiding them, but now was not the time to dwell on that.

They had a more pressing matter to face. Mont Blanc was shattering, and they needed to act—before it was too late.

Étienne's voice broke through the silence, now tinged with desperation.

"B-but If Mont Blanc collapses, it won't just destroy the surrounding regions.

The destruction will trigger catastrophic seismic activity across Europe.

France, Italy, Switzerland—they'll all suffer unimaginable devastation."

The weight of Étienne's words hung in the air.

"What can we possibly do in three days? Stopping an entire mountain from crumbling?

It's near impossible without their help, but they're spread thin, battling demons across the world,"

Étienne said, his voice heavy with doubt, his morale slipping.

"Is there really anything we can do?"

Shigeru met his gaze, his expression unwavering. After a brief pause, he spoke with quiet determination.

"There is one thing we can do!".....
