Some time later, Aldritch met with the elders of his family to relay the news of his meeting with the ruler of the vampire society, Nahila Ven'dralis. After their meeting, Aeress met with Aldritch privately.

Aeress stepped into Aldritch's tent, her gaze meeting Aldritch's as he stood by his desk, he appeared to always be busy recently.

Aldritch raised an eyebrow, gesturing for her to continue.

"The witches and I have agreed to follow you faithfully, but this… partnership with the Vampire Society you mentioned, I have my doubts. What assurance do we have that they won't turn on us once they've gained what they want?"
