Chapter 86

~Ryuu~

The forest comes alive with the rustling of leaves and the distant call of birds instead of the Sea's droning, moaning, and fizzle—the vibration of sealife that usually tingled his whole body.

Hunting on land is different for Ryuu; he has to change tactics and get used to the rhythm of the forest. His father had said he should experience hunting on land before trying to fight a land-dwelling Dragon. And although Ryuu didn't want to admit it, his father was right. It was different. Ryuu's keen eyes scanned the grassy meadow before him as he lay low. He spotted deer a few minutes ago and was now looking for weakness and an easy target. After coming back from their excursion, Ryuu made it a point to put his father's advice to use; he ached to fight upon the land. Especially for Calea's sake, she would be alone with him, and he couldn't take the chance of letting her get hurt.
