Prologue 10 (Part 2) Kazu Nini Vs The Sprite Twins (3).

“My staff can’t be that weak, stand up.” Kazu Nini commanded Kivon who was also thrown a RestorativePotion. The Sprite levitated off the floor and his eyes met Kazu Nini’s which made every fiber of her being feel like they were begging her to take a step back but she did not allow herself to. The Sprite eyed her in almost materialized malevolence before Devon raised his Restorative Potion to allow him drink from.

“I am almost impressed.”

“Same here.”

The crowd was torn about whose name to chant so there was chaos in the stands.

“KAZU NINI!!!”

“KIVON AND DEVON!!!”

“Oh boy, looks like the Sprites are finally getting serious.”

Kazu Nini had already been restored to peak state and she had her minions out before her, out and ready to go. She herself had been trickling Ko-jin into her every fiber and organs as at her cultivation level at Divine Early Level 6 was were her Ko-jin tendrils were only capable of reaching.

Kivon climbed onto the stage for this last round and Devon joined him. She almost frowned as she looked to the Slime who hovered about their arena but he seemed to say nothing. However, some weeks back, she had already claimed she could handle them both. So, how could she back down at this moment?

Voices began rising in the crowd. “Is that fair?”

Another repeated the question. “She is fighting not one opponent; how would she fare?”

“Maybe she can make a miracle.”

“Oh my,” the Slime shook his head in mock disappointment. “You people do not know about Sprites, GO READ MORE BOOKS!!!”

Kazu Nini prepared herself as Devon lost the look of life in his eyes.

“I knew already!”

“Me too!”

“Me three!”

“Liars, the lot of you!” They laughed in shame and Sharlpali Hihpholi, the Principal went on. “So, the fifth and final round! Both contestants have been given Restorative Potent Artifacts and are at their prime mentally, physically and etc. And the loser of this round will be a follower to winner, including their societies too, I presume. Or, they pay a goodly amount of resources. Also, they spend a year at my school.” He then glanced at both contestants before shouting, “now, start this all-out battle!”

The crowd shouted again and Kazu Nini has expended so much Ko-jin to her mud minions that they looked to be within dense globes of Divine Energy. Ko-jin poured from her body and connected like strings to each one of her puppets.

“I hear you, I hear you, and next time we will make betting stands.”

The crowd laughed this time as they all watched Devon rise to the skies until he was parallel to Kivon, his twin, and the Pixie began to have a bad premonition even before his skin tight Ko-jin Cloak sank into his body.

*“Ko-jin Skin.”*

The Pixie was at Divine Early Level 6, meaning that, at most, she had only melded Divine Energy into her organs, muscles and bones. So, she could not do what he just did as he was 8 and he had begun connecting tendrils across his skin. Instead, what she did was to tighten the Glass Coat about her body until it truly felt like an extension of her body. To describe the weight she had placed on her mind and body could not be believed but with a refresh of her mental energy, she was willing to do another gamble.

*“Glass Skin.”*

“What are you doing, Nini?” He laughed at her pathetic attempt to replicate his feat and readied his punch. Just the positioning of his body and the vibes that were around and about her, coming from him, made her feel like he dominated everything in the area but she refused to be intimidated by the trembling natural Ko-jin particles all about the arena.

On her end, she instantly birthed a fist like it had been hiding in the atmosphere all this time. The suspended fist was at least half the height of the Damage Screens as it waited to be launched.

“Simple Punch.”

His daunting voice could not break her concentration.

The doll beasts she commanded, blazing with orbs of Ko-jin encapsulating them, broke apart and rushed to cover the giant hovering fist.

*“Let’s Fight Dirty.”* She was not flustered.

The launched fists from both sides rippled the Damage Barrier like a magnitude 5 earthquake even before they clashed. Her own attack seemed to meet an invisible wall, which was actually made of Ko-jin particles in an area of a 10-meter radius which he had seized and added to his own.

FWOOOOOOMMMMMMM

Both contestants’ screams, with their hands extended as they sought to overwhelm each other, were drowned out by the collision of the stalemate that lasted over a minute. This continued until their attacks both exploded which threw Kazu Nini to the edges of the Damage Barrier until she was bending it. But her minions were already there, linking each other’s arms and clinging to the stage in determination.

Kivon himself had been thrown back but Devon had dragged him back as if he were an esper.

3 meters of the battle platform were peeled off, having the Damage Screen grew quite a few cracks visible to the entire stadium, but by the time they were able to get back on the arena from their own generated shock waves, everything was healed.

Kivon was starting to get frustrated; this girl was only a Divine Level 6, so what was helping her so? He knew that Pixies also specialized in Mental Energy and could wield their glass because of this, but except if she had learned a Law which made her stand toe to toe with him, it still did not make sense!

*“2.4 Percent Convergence.”*

“I was not sure then, but I had a feeling.” His silent but audible voice not only made Kazu Nini focus more on the battle than she was already doing but also her aunt. Mako Nini stared across the spectators till she found what she was looking for. “Seems these Sprites are more low-key than I thought.” Now she just hoped that Kazu Nini had a means to defend this.

A cylindrical wall of energy enveloped the Sprite Twins, which gave Kazu Nini an ancient and lonely but strong-willed sensation pouring forth like waves from a tsunami. Her mental energy rattled like snares on a drum but slowly it began to hold like the hands of a stubborn couple around each other’s waists with opposition from a calamitous weather willing to split them from one another.

She raised her hand and a swirling mirror that was about her height spawned into being in the air. The Semi-Liquid substance was spinning like the movements of a Taiichi master, slow and steady but intimidating. If one did not notice though, the speed it’s surface twirled at grew every 10th of a minute.

Her other arm, though, splayed before her like she was scratching a DJ’s disks at a show.

*“Have You Seen Meteors Streak?”*

BONG!!!

Kivon simply jumped towards her in Explosive Speed, an intimidation coming from and within her was rising but she snuffed it out as Fist upon fist of glass about half the size of her torso floated behind and above her. When they launched, they did not stop him until at least a 100 were thrown in his targeted location. The Fists would come back around whenever they passed a certain distance and return behind her to form again.

The Sprite was merely pushed back and he scoffed.

*“4.8 Percent Convergence.”*

Devon moved lower in the cylinder of potent and materializing energy that had increased its radius. That feeling of primordial solitude but a firm notion was harder than anything ever thought possible, attempted to overwhelm her. And if Kazu Nini’s mental state were like the hands of a stubborn couple around each other’s waists with opposition from a calamitous weather willing to split them from one another, just a few moments before, Now they were clinging to each other only by the fore arms as they withstood a cataclysmic storm.

*“Have You Seen Meteors Pursue?”*

BONG!!!

The fleet of fists now were the height of her full torso, exploding every time they made contact with his approaching form, even the ones that he did not slap away, as he bridged their distance but they became annoying at some point as Kazu Nini kept on adding their numbers.

Kivon swatted one that burst to pieces in an attempt to maximize damage that rapidly healed, then he kicked off another, using the mini explosion to boost himself into the air as he needed to reach Nini. Not just because the state he was in could not be held for too long, but also because the mirror that had been spinning was growing in magnitude and he could sense some other shadows behind it. Not even mentioning the winds it was kicking up.

However, the fists felt endless and he had to back off as they were more concentrated the nearer he got. So, he ended up punching out with not only his fist but with the riled up Ko-jin in the area and it would not have been a problem but the sheer number of exploding 75 tiles of 6 times reinforced glass forced him back.

*“7.2 Percent Convergence.”*

Her mental energy felt like it was crying in a corner of a room filed with predators, as Devon dropped his altitude, and the archaic and dejected but swelling conviction grew in radius, also density. Now, 25 meters about him, the Sprite had Ko-jin wiling to obey every command his mind, soul and body wished, and wished, to fulfil every whim!

The couple analogy from before was now just the hands, as if one was hanging of a cliff and the other were crying intently for some sort of salvation to redeem them of their situation.

*“Have You Seen Meteors Evolve?”*

BONG!!!

The fists which were an entire torso added half of their scale to themselves, just before moments of contact, a bunch would merge to double the sum of their physicality, preceding an even greater explosion that grew Kivon’s irritation. He noticed that slowly, the mirror’s spin was almost silent even though it was frighteningly accelerating, and a trace of danger bloomed to his senses.

BONG!!!

Kivon would have dragged this longer if he did not have a time limit on his state and if the Mirror did not seem so imposing to him.

BONG!!!

*“9.6 Percent Convergence.”*

The metaphoric couple now had each other at their fingers in the middle of Ragnarök and at this moment, each of the other’s movements were sure but delayed. The radius of the cylinder holding to the Sprite Twins grew and Kivon was only a meter from Devon who hung there in the air as if crucified.

*“Have You Seen Meteors Hunt?”*

Now, all the doubled fists waited as if goading Kivon.

BONG!!!

The Sprite jumped towards her, and some of the fists zoomed in his direction. Not throwing his arm, Ko-jin particles in the air formed a visible hand that blocked it away. Although, this time, one of her fists changed form to cover him before exploding.

BONG!!!

Shock in his eyes, and his momentum barely stopped, he continued to advance into a swimming nest of the fists. This time, multiple arms made of Ko-jin sprung out from nowhere like undead spirits without rest and pushed them as far as possible so that the blast radius did not really affect him.

BONG!!!

A bunch of them zipped towards Kazu Nini and more of her new technique encased them which made him think he could finish her off. However, his outstretched fist touched her without a doubt and made her cough up blood, so much so that her shirt was soaked and dripping, but he was caught by a bunch of fists that exploded in successive blasts after they all wrapped themselves about his person in a mostly transparent cocoon.

Back to where he started, Kivon looked at a direction to the bleachers and his eyes betrayed disappointment before he closed them and took a deep breath.

*“12.0 Percent Convergence.”*

The instant he used his new technique, Devon dropped again in the air until his feet were touching his twin. That painfully old and desolate, but zealot faith made the Pixie’s mind snap for a second, which in turn caused her body to begin falling from the glass platform that she was hovering from.

*“Simple Punch.”*

BONG!!!

However, her female instincts had been screaming at her, long before the metaphoric couple had their connection severed.

*“Eat My Fist!”*

The fist that had been growing behind the mirror - a slightly more expansive fist than half the height of the Damage Screen - had now matured and had been thoroughly fused with the mud minions from earlier which had been bathed in globes of Ko-jin. The gargantuan fist, covered in what looked to be light blue flame so dense it almost appeared navy, zapped towards the Sprite who was in the air and had always targeted to destroy it.

Behind him was a fore arm that was made up of Ko-jin in 30 meters about them. The audience at the fore front row felt the agitation of the Divine Energy too and were now all on their tip toes, like the rest of the people watching. His attack had blazed into the sky in readiness to accept the challenge when he saw that from behind the mirror, a fist spun after it passed through the mirror and doubled its acceleration.

Kivon did not know that Kazu Nini had fainted which meant his victory was all but assured like some scrutinizing eyes had already noticed and also that the stale mate in the air was all because it was only her subconscious moving her attack at this very moment. But, when she woke up again, her feet just hit the ground and the overwhelming pressure created from Kivon hit Kazu Nini again, although this time it would be five seconds before she would snap like just moments before.

Five seconds where she poured 45% of Divine Energy into her attack.

When she blacked out this time, she was still on her feet and the Pixie girl almost fell repeatedly again and again as she walked out of the Damage Screen.
