Prologue 14 (Part 1) All Made up and Packed Up.

Kazu Nini woke up at almost 11:00am, she squinted lightly and groaned at the fact that she felt a little strain from her Ko-jin Veins – the path in which Ko-jin traveled in the body – but she knew she could not say anything because her aunt would get mad at the fact that it indicated she slumped training. She herself was not confident of fighting someone of the same level as Uncovered potential would come in handy if two opponents of the same cultivation faced against each other. Her aunt would tell her about the clay dolls she had been making and how she should rather focus on cultivation.

Pulling the curtains close, she wanted to have another go at beauty sleep when she heard Mako’s voice.

“Morning, dear niece.”

“Mor-” she cleared her groggy throat. “Beautiful day, isn’t it?”

“Look who is all grown up and ready to leave me behind.”

“Oh, no.” In getting up to prove her point with body language she fell back down. “I was just happy that you were here.”
