Retaliation

The tension in the hideout was palpable. The air was thick with the urgency of whispered conversations and the rapid tapping of keyboards. Ada and Jidenna stood over a table strewn with maps and communication devices, their faces etched with worry and determination. Reports of the Eternal Council's mobilization were pouring in from their contacts across Lagos.

"They're moving fast," Ada said, her voice tight with concern. "Council forces are already deploying to key locations. They're trying to crush this rebellion before it can gain any more traction."

Jidenna nodded, his jaw set. "We need to protect our people. If the Council gets to them, they'll try to make examples out of anyone they capture. We need to stay one step ahead."

A rebel burst into the room, breathless and wide-eyed. "Ada, Jidenna! The Council has deployed drones and armored vehicles in the slums. They're rounding up anyone they suspect of supporting us."
