"I don't.. don't know.." Peggy stuttered, a cold sweat breaking out on her forehead.
Charlotte cleared her throat, "We were going back home when we noticed that the door to this building was open. I decided to have a look, then I saw her lying on the floor helplessly."
The police officer squinted his eyes, and sighed, "Thomas," he called out to the constable behind him, "Quick, take her to the hospital, she must have lost a lot of blood," he said grimly.
"Yes sir," he nodded, and went inside, and carried an unconscious Nora out of the room.
"Listen girls," the police officer said, "You have done a great job, and we applaud you for it, but will you be able to follow us to the station and testify?"
Peggy crouched, "Sir.. my parents.. they must be very worried, I don't think I can follow you," she shook her head.
The police officer faced Charlotte who also shook her head, "No sir, I don't think so too."
