"Flight technique again?"
Seeing the reward for this three-choice round, Yuhara was pleased but relatively calm. Having experienced it twice in one day, it was hard to get excited. Moreover, this time's rewards weren't as abundant as the first time.
After all, the first time he got the 'Glorious Evolution,' which ensured his Sharingan could evolve to the Mangekyō level. Now, what could excite him might only be things of a higher level. But that was just wishful thinking. Even though he had the 'Glorious Evolution' passive, he hadn't fully utilized it yet. Dreaming of higher-level things was just that—a dream. Handling the present was most crucial.
As for this choice, there wasn't much to consider. Being an Uchiha, he was naturally skilled in Fire Release, so he wasn't planning to take the 'Blazing Flames' skill. Despite its seemingly impressive effects, Yuhara had other alternatives like learning the Great Fire Annihilation. Its power depended entirely on the amount of chakra infused, meaning more chakra equaled greater power.
The 'Gale Howl' was decent since Yuhara lacked Wind Release capabilities. But compared to flying freely in the sky, he could pass on wind abilities for now. "Moreover, the flight technique has appeared twice now. It would be foolish not to take it."
Undoubtedly, Yuhara chose the flight technique. The feeling of flying freely was something no one would want to miss unless there were a more difficult choice, like evolving his eyes.
After obtaining the technique, Yuhara eagerly went to the forest behind the Uchiha compound to test it out at night. The sensation of free flight was indeed fantastic, but he also noted that this technique consumed a lot of chakra. With his current chakra reserves, he could fly slowly for about an hour, but high-speed flight would drain him in five minutes.
"Flying also requires consideration of aerial conditions, and high-speed flight causes various impacts. But for now, it's sufficient." Yuhara was satisfied, seeing the flight technique as another life-saving ability. In the entire ninja world, there were very few who could fly. Unless he encountered late-stage characters like Pain or Onoki, he could escape without anyone catching him.
To avoid attracting too much attention, Yuhara returned home after his test flight. He rested well and headed to the mission center early the next morning. To hunt a jonin, he needed a valid reason to leave the village, and taking on missions was the best choice. He also planned to see if there were any suitable Konoha rogue ninjas to target.
"Shisui?" Yuhara was surprised to see Shisui as soon as he stepped out. Shisui looked tired, his eyes red as if he'd been using his Sharingan, though it was evident he hadn't rested well. Yuhara knew from the system that Shisui had begun to accept his ideas, but he didn't expect Shisui to be so conflicted. To Yuhara, there wasn't much to be conflicted about. The village's actions and the clan's inaction had led to the current state of the Uchiha. Once you saw the essence of the problem, it was straightforward. As for being conflicted?
"Yuhara, good morning." Shisui still looked unwell but remained serious, speaking directly. "I thought about it all night. Though I generally agree with your ideas and perspectives, but..."
"Stop. This isn't the place for this discussion, and I have things to do. We can talk later." Yuhara immediately halted Shisui. Who knew if someone might be eavesdropping? Without sensory abilities, if someone overheard them, they would be doomed. They'd be left waiting for Itachi Uchiha to bring down his blade, with Obito and Danzo's Root backing him up.
Shisui realized his mistake, showing a bit of guilt. He knew he had done something foolish. If not for Yuhara's quick reaction, they might have been in trouble. But he quickly became curious. "Do you have a mission?"
"Not yet, but I'm planning to take on some missions," Yuhara said, shaking his head lightly. "The clan is too stifling, and I dislike such meetings. I also need to think carefully about my next steps."
Yuhara didn't elaborate, but Shisui instantly understood his meaning. He also had to admit that the clan's environment was indeed terrible. After considering Yuhara's words all night, he realized they were true. The situation was as Yuhara described, even if it was harsh. The clan was out of touch, believing the Police Force was prestigious when it was, in fact, a curse. It drove a wedge between the Uchiha and Konoha, a tool for their downfall.
Realizing this, Shisui saw his friend and classmate in a new light. They had grown up together, both hailed as geniuses of the clan. But while he had blindly followed a doomed path, Yuhara remained detached, gaining clarity on the Uchiha's flaws. Yuhara was the clearest-minded person in the clan.
Determined, Shisui decided, though he needed to think and observe more before speaking. "Yuhara, I'll go with you on this mission."
"Huh? What did you say?"
"I said I'll go with you. Only by doing so can I learn more."
