Chapter 70: Greetings, Clan Leader!

Following the awe-inspiring battle that left all the watching Uchiha clan members buzzing with excitement, everyone quickly returned to the clan's compound. Along the way, discussions about the fight were inevitable, even though it seemed somewhat beyond their grasp. While they could follow the initial phases of the battle with their Sharingan, once both combatants activated their Mangekyo Sharingan, the fight escalated to a level they could understand but never replicate.

"Also, Lord Hara's swordsmanship is terrifying. That wind-infused technique, which underwent a complete transformation, instilled fear even from a distance," one of them remarked.

"Indeed. Though it seemed simple with just three moves, I don't think I could withstand even the first," another chimed in.

"You're mistaken. We should now address him as Clan Leader Hara. His power is beyond our imagination," a third one corrected.

This statement caused many Uchiha ninjas to pause, realizing that Hara had indeed become their indisputable leader both in law and power.

Uchiha Sou and Uchiha Takeshi walked together, a sight that would have been unimaginable in the past due to their long-standing mutual disregard. Yet now, they walked side by side, having coordinated smoothly during the recent 'clan leader battle,' all thanks to Hara.

"I never thought this child would come this far," Sou mused with a smile.

"I remember him threatening to kill me if I didn't listen, and now he's the clan leader."

"He only threatened you. He actually took action against my men," Takeshi replied, chuckling before sighing. "But he never went too far. Even with Fugaku, he saved him in the end."

Had Hara not intervened, Fugaku, whose Susanoo was shattered, would have fallen into the flames. Though they harbored grudges, none would have said much about such a death. Furthermore, Fugaku was a former clan leader. Killing him would have cemented Hara's authority unshakably. But Hara refrained, showing mercy even to a political rival.

"Isn't it good to follow such a person?" Sou asked, glancing at Takeshi, who then smiled and nodded. Hara's strong leadership was guiding their fractured clan towards stability, a level of forcefulness they could accept. Moreover, Hara's humane touch was vital.

After a moment, Takeshi grew serious. "By the way, you were in charge of security this time. No issues, I hope?"

"Rest assured, we set up barriers and modified them per Hara's—Clan Leader's—instructions," Sou replied, lowering his voice after scanning their surroundings. "We ensured trustworthy members monitored the area with Sharingan to prevent any infiltration."

Takeshi nodded, understanding that while they didn't specify who they were guarding against, it was evident. Konoha wouldn't act rashly, but there were always those who might try something, including a few dissenters within the clan.

Before long, they dispersed upon returning to the clan compound, heading to Naka Shrine instead of resting at home. Though the battle was over, internal matters remained, and changing leaders was never a simple task.

"Hara-kun… no, Clan Leader," Fugaku stood first, addressing Hara once everyone had settled in the shrine. He appeared a bit awkward, unused to addressing someone else as the leader.

"This is the clan leader's seal. From now on, you are the true leader of Uchiha. The clan is in your hands," Fugaku said solemnly, though with a hint of relief.

Hara accepted the seal with a calm nod, feeling a sense of relief himself. From being forcibly bound by the system to this day, it had taken over half a year to reach this point. Today marked his success.

Taking a deep breath, Hara spoke seriously, "Elder Takeshi once told me that to gain his support, I must agree to two conditions. First, I must ensure the clan's safety, a duty of any leader. Second, I must fulfill my promises and lead Uchiha to greatness once more. Today, I reiterate my pledge. I, Uchiha Hara, will become the blade of Uchiha and lead us to greatness!"

His words, firm and resolute, stirred a silent but fervent response among the members. Shisui stood up, smiling at Hara before bowing slightly, "Greetings, Clan Leader."

Uchiha Sou and Takeshi followed suit, bowing in unison, "Greetings, Clan Leader."

Fugaku stepped back and also bowed respectfully, "Greetings, Clan Leader."

Following their lead, every Uchiha present stood and bowed deeply, their voices echoing in unison, "Greetings, Clan Leader!"
