Fighting Lieutenant Golmer

"You didn't expect that to happen, did you?"

With a swift move backwards, Locus got back on his feet with the katana in his hands.

"What did you just do?"

"As if I'd tell you."

"Shall I make you?"

Locus rapidly approached Golmer and prepared to strike.

The Lieutenant pushed himself in Locus' direction and disappeared again. It couldn't be his speed, could it?

While Locus was still wondering where he went, Golmer reappeared to his left.

Fortunately, Genken had taught Locus various defensive techniques. By slightly moving his left hand, Locus managed to bring his katana over on his left side to increase his durability.

Golmer still hit Locus with a lot of force, making him slide a few feet back.

But Lieutenant Golmer didn't just wait for Locus to attack again. He pushed himself in Locus' direction one more time and disappeared. But this time, Locus didn't try to see him with his eyes. He focused to use Golmer's Aura.

Lieutenant Golmer reappeared. This time, he was standing, or rather hovering behind Locus.

While still falling, Golmer spinned around and hit Locus' feet with a kick to send him flying once more.

Locus no longer had any legs that were standing in the ground, but that wasn't important for him. He moved solely to attack Golmer by trying to slice him with the katana while the both of them were in midair.

Just when the katana was about to touch the Lieutenant, he vanished once more. Locus fell down on the ground and tried to quickly get up, when, out of nowhere, the Lieutenant's silhouette appeared and leaned over Locus.

"You've got some moves, boy."

Golmer tried to grab Locus' right wrist that was still wielding the katana. While Locus tried to pull his arm away, he wasn't fast enough with the katana in his hand.

Golmer disarmed him and took the katana. Of course, Locus wouldn't give it up without a fight. He turned around while still lying flat on the ground to kick Golmer in the face and hit the unsuspecting Lieutenant.

"You stupid brat!"

The katana came crashing down on Locus, who was still lying right in front of Golmer.

In that moment, Genken jumped between the two of them and clenched to Golmer's arm holding the katana.

Locus used the opportunity to get up while the Lieutenant threw Genken away once more.

"You're too weak to hold me off."

Golmer straightened up and looked at Locus while still holding the katana in his hand.

"Any last words?"

Locus looked back at him.

"I know your ability."

Lieutenant Golmer grinned.

"That won't save you."

Locus pushed himself in the Lieutenant's direction with the highest speed he could summon up.

Golmer looked surprised but then disappeared again, along with the katana.

Locus' attempt was futile, and while he stood in front of the wall, the Lieutenant reappeared about two meters behind him. Locus turned around to face him.

"If you know my ability, then how about next time, I reappear with the katana piercing your body?"

Locus knew that he wouldn't be able to dodge that attack.

"That's a nice plan. But you've missed one thing."

Lieutenant Golmer raised his eyebrows.

"Is that so? Tell me, what did I miss?"

Locus rapidly closed the distance once more, trying to hit Golmer in the face. The ladder disappeared again.

Suddenly, Genken appeared in the air and hit a spot that was just a few inches to Locus' right with his foot.

When the Lieutenant reappeared, he was covered in blood and lying on the ground in front of the wall that Genken's kick had been aiming at.

"You missed me, idiot."
