Chapter 1: Where am I?

When I opened my eyes, I was on the ground in the middle of a dense forest. I sat up, rubbing my aching head, and immediately sensed something was different. My body felt somewhat light and a burning sensation is being felt by my eyes. As I stood up, I noticed I was wearing unusual red armor, and my hair had grown long.

I decided to explore my surroundings, marveling at the forest's beauty. The trees were taller than any I had ever seen, with their branches intertwining to form a natural canopy. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a dappled light on the ground. I could hear the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze and the distant songs of birds. As I walked, an uneasy feeling crept over me, as if the forest held a hidden secret. I was acutely aware of every step I took, the rough ground under my feet, and the way my muscles moved.

After a while, I came upon a lake where a towering statue stood. It was the Statue of The Seven, dedicated to some sort of God. Then I've seen a stone carving nearby, "The statue of the Anemo Archon Barbatos". The figure of Barbatos held his lyre, his serene expression seeming to watch over the land.

As I approached the statue of the Anemo Archon, my heart pounded with a mixture of awe and anticipation. The statue seemed to glow with an ethereal light, and the air around it buzzed with energy. With a deep breath, I extended my hand, feeling an invisible force pulling me closer.

The moment my fingers made contact with the stone, a surge of power coursed through my body. A gust of wind swirled around me, lifting leaves and petals into a mesmerizing dance. The sensation was overwhelming, yet exhilarating. I felt the essence of Anemo intertwining with my very being, filling me with newfound strength and vitality.

The power of the wind flowed through me, resonating with my heartbeat. I could sense the currents of air around me, feel their direction and intensity as if they were an extension of myself. The forest, once a place of mystery and unease, now felt like a familiar ally, its secrets laid bare by the wind's whisper.

As the initial rush subsided, I opened my eyes to find the world transformed. The colors were more vibrant, the sounds clearer. I raised my hand and, with a thought, summoned a gentle breeze that danced around my fingers.

The statue of Barbatos stood silent, its serene expression unchanged, yet I felt a connection to the Anemo Archon that transcended words.

As I was about to continue my journey and take a drink near the lake, a sudden and overwhelming sensation gripped my mind. Images and emotions not my own flooded my consciousness, throwing me into a vivid memory that felt both foreign and intimately familiar.

I saw through the eyes of an warrior from a Clan known as the Uchiha, standing in a vast, war-torn landscape. The sky was dark with storm clouds, and the air crackled with tension. In my hands, I held a kunai, its blade gleaming in the dim light. The Sharingan, the legendary eyes of the Uchiha, activated, and the world around me sharpened into stark clarity.

Battles raged all around, and I felt the weight of countless conflicts and the burden of a clan's expectations pressing on my shoulders. A fierce determination filled my heart, mixed with a deep sorrow. I experienced how ab Uchiha faced off against a formidable opponent, their movements a blur of speed and precision. The clang of weapons, the bursts of elemental jutsu, and the cries of warriors filled the air. Each strike, each dodge, was a dance of life and death, driven by a desire to protect and an unyielding resolve.

Then, a flash of intense emotion surged through me—loss, betrayal, and a burning desire for vengeance. The Sharingan's power reached its peak, transforming into the Mangekyō Sharingan. The pain and the power of the transformation were almost unbearable, yet I could feel the immense strength it granted.

Just as the memory reached its climax, it abruptly faded, leaving me gasping for breath and disoriented. The forest around me seemed to blur and swirl as I struggled to regain my bearings. The echoes of the Uchiha's experiences lingered in my mind, a haunting reminder of the power and threat I might opppose.

I stumbled to my knees, the weight of the memory pressing down on me. The connection between my new Anemo abilities and the Uchiha's power was unclear, but I knew that the memory was no mere coincidence.

"Was it the Anemo God's wind that freed this memories?" I asked myself while taking a deep breathe, I knelt by the water's edge, cupping my hands to drink. The cool water was refreshing, a welcome relief.

The forest seemed to open up as I walked, and soon I saw a figure in the distance. A young woman with a bright smile and a distinctive red outfit was approaching me. She had a bow slung over her shoulder and a confident stride that spoke of her familiarity with these woods.

"Hey there, traveler! You look like you could use some help," she called out, her voice warm and welcoming.

I nodded, trying to steady myself. "I could use some guidance. I'm new to this land."

She extended a hand, helping me to my feet. "I'm Amber, Outrider of the Knights of Favonius. You're not from around here, are you?"

"No, I'm not. My name is..." I hesitated, realizing that giving my true name Luis might not be the best idea until I could be sure of whom to trust. "You can call me Yuki."

Amber gave me a curious look but didn't press for more information. "Well, Yuki, it's lucky you ran into me. I'll guide you to Mondstadt, my hometown. It's a safe place, and you can rest there."

As we walked, Amber chatted cheerfully, her enthusiasm infectious. "Mondstadt is the City of Freedom, protected by the Anemo Archon, Barbatos. It's a place where people from all walks of life come together. Our city is known for its love of music and wine, and the wind always seems to carry a song with it."

Her description painted a vivid picture in my mind. "It sounds like a beautiful place."

"It is," Amber agreed. "Mondstadt has a rich history. Long ago, it was ruled by the tyrannical Aristocracy until the people, led by the Anemo Archon and a brave knight named Vennessa, rose up to claim their freedom. Now, the city thrives on the principles of liberty and justice."

Amber's eyes sparkled with pride as she spoke about her home. "We have a strong sense of community and a duty to protect each other. The Knights of Favonius, the order I belong to, are dedicated to keeping the peace and ensuring everyone's safety."

As she guided me through the forest, Amber's keen eyes were always on the lookout, ensuring our path was clear and safe. Despite her friendly demeanor, I could tell she was assessing me, trying to determine if I was trustworthy. I appreciated her caution; it spoke of her experience and dedication to her role.

When we finally reached the outskirts of Mondstadt, the city came into view, its towering windmills and majestic cathedral standing proudly against the sky. The city's architecture was a blend of rustic charm and elegant design, with flowers and greenery adorning the buildings.

"Welcome to Mondstadt," Amber said, gesturing towards the city with a flourish. "Let's get you settled. I know just the place where you can rest and recover."

As we walked through the city gates, I kept my hood up, trying to blend in with the bustling crowd. The people of Mondstadt moved about with an easy grace, their faces reflecting the freedom and joy that Amber had described. Street musicians played lively tunes, and the scent of freshly baked bread wafted from nearby bakeries.

Amber led me to the headquarters of the Knights of Favonius, a grand building that stood at the heart of the city. "You can rest here for a while," she said. "But remember, Yuki, in Mondstadt, everyone is welcome as long as they come with good intentions."

I nodded, grateful for her help. "Thank you, Amber. I'll keep that in mind."

As I settled into the guest quarters, I knew I had to be careful. The power within me was a double-edged sword, and trust was something I needed to earn and give cautiously. But for now, Mondstadt seemed like a sanctuary, a place where I could gather my strength and learn more about this new world.
