A Bittersweet Past

The sourness of the lemon and the sweetness of sugar burst inside his mouth before a subtle bitterness overwhelmed his taste bud.

With these three flavors in his mouth, Kallix didn't think it was disgusting.

Rather, it was deliciously sweet and filled with freshness. It was a perfect drink for a hot and humid day.

"How is it?"

Kallix studied her and looked at her face interestingly.

"It's not bad," he finally commented very kindly. If the chefs in Volkovich heard him, they would scramble their way to Rosalie to ask for her recipe. This 'not bad' was already a compliment from Kallix, which he had never given out to anyone who made his meal.

When he eats, he will do it slowly and silently. The chefs that had served him food could only rely on their eyes to guess whether young master Kallix like the food they cooked or not by looking at the leftovers on his plate.
