Coming Home

The car ride was quiet with Ana leaning against Scott's chest halfway between awake and sleeping. Scott was lost in his own thoughts; a great many things ran through his mind in the quiet car. Moving to this new house that he hadn't wanted but was unwilling to deprive Ana of once he realized how much it meant to her. Ana's condition and all the precautions they needed to take. Selfishly, he wondered how he would handle not being able to touch his wife for the foreseeable future.

He just managed to keep his groan from leaving his mouth. Now that he understood what it was like to be with his wife, he could imagine the torture of staying away from her. Looks like he would have to figure it out. If their son arrived healthy it would be worth it in the end.
