Contrition

"Why don't you start answering some questions for me? What the hell happened last night that put my wife in the hospital?" Scott's voice took on a dark edge as he struggled to reign in his fury.

"You think I want this. Ana is my wife too and may never speak to me again." Nicholas ran another hand through his hair before leaning his head back against the wall and banging it back into the wall twice, hard.

Scott raised an eyebrow at Nicholas. "Well..." he prodded.

"I had an early meeting with Coulter. You didn't know because you got your emergency call at the same time as I did at the airport. I tried telling Ana that I had to leave because I needed to deal with documents at the estate which was true. I forgot to account for how often I have left her alone while dealing with your crazy restrictions." Nicholas started explaining.

"You're blaming me?" Scott reacted with anger standing and preparing to walk out.
