Ana was in a great mood. She had her twenty-eight-week appointment, and her doctor had been very happy with her progress, but it was more than that. She was out of the second trimester and officially into the third trimester.

Her doctor had told her that if her son was born now the odds were very good that he would be just fine. He would need some time in the hospital but would likely emerge healthy and completely normal.

This fear had been such a huge weight on her chest that she felt like she could breathe freely for the first time in months. Perhaps she could really enjoy the rest of her pregnancy now.
