Theo stood before Alpha Kieran, his face pale, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and regret. "Alpha Kieran, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I—" Theo's voice trembled as he spoke.

"Sorry?" Kieran's voice cut through the air. He slammed his hand on the desk, making Theo flinch. "Sorry doesn't change what you've done, Theo. Your negligence put lives at risk and almost got Katherine and Astrid killed!"

Theo took a step back, his composure breaking. "I made a mistake. I didn't think—"

"You didn't think?" Kieran snarled, stepping closer to Theo, his anger boiling over. "Do you know what happens when you don't think, Theo? People get hurt. They die. And now you've endangered everyone here."
