Bobby in Dire Straits

Cutting off the water supply to Bobby's apartment meant severing his lifeline.

A person can go several days without food.

But they absolutely cannot go without water.

Three days without water, and you're half-dead.

Five days without water, and you will surely die!

Meanwhile, Stel and his group's food supply could last for a month.

They could easily play the long game.

After cutting off Bobby's water valve, Stel restored the iron cover.

He left the basement with his flashlight.

Less than five minutes after the water supply was cut,

Bobby groggily woke up from his bed.

Yesterday, he had only eaten half a bowl of instant noodles.

Prolonged hunger had made him look extremely emaciated.

Combined with a long absence of fruits and vegetables, his complexion was sallow.

Bobby stood in front of the fridge, weakly opening the door.

Inside, there were still a few packets of instant noodles left.

His last supper.

"Damn it!"

Bobby spat out angrily, took out the noodles, and slammed the fridge door shut.

With nowhere to vent his anger, he took it out on the fridge door.

As usual, he divided the noodles into two portions.

Placed them in his bowl, sprinkled half of the seasoning, and poured in hot water.

Next, he needed to boil water.

Bobby put the bowl down and took the kettle to the kitchen to fill it.

As he walked into the kitchen, he cursed under his breath.

"Bastards!"

He went to the sink, turned on the faucet, and aimed the kettle at the spout.

...

Two seconds passed.

Bobby suddenly felt something was wrong.

Where's the water?

He widened his eyes and looked at the faucet.

There was no flow of water.

The pipe only emitted a dry, raspy sound, like the sound of straining during constipation.

A few symbolic drops trickled out.

Then no more water came.

"What the hell!"

Bobby, already irritable, became furious when he discovered that there was no water.

Damn it, in the apocalypse, and now there's no water? What am I supposed to drink?

"Bang, bang!"

Without thinking, he grabbed something nearby and started smashing the water pipe.

His anger made his mouth and throat dry.

After smashing it repeatedly, there was still no water flow.

Instead, the pipe was now cracked and looked like it wouldn't last much longer.

"Damn it! What a crappy apartment!"

Bobby yelled in frustration.

Despite his anger, he still needed to eat.

He quickly ran to the bathroom,

Hoping the bathroom faucet wouldn't disappoint him.

"Squeak!"

He turned on the bathroom sink faucet.

Waited a few seconds.

But...

Not a single drop of water came out.

"Damn it!"

In his anger, Bobby swept everything off the sink countertop, including his mouthwash cup and other items.

"Crash!"

The cup hit the ground and shattered.

He was furious!

So damn furious!

"Thud!"

Bobby punched the mirror in front of him.

His hand became a bloody mess,

And the mirror shattered.

No water, still no water!

Bobby opened every possible water source in the apartment, but...

He waited until noon,

And didn't hear a single drop.

"Damn..."

Bobby was too exhausted to curse anymore.

He glanced towards the kitchen and bathroom.

Then turned to look at the half-pack of instant noodles in the bowl on the coffee table.

"Screw it! No water, I'll just eat it dry!"

He said, grabbing the bowl.

He crushed the noodles into crumbs with his hand.

Licking his dry, cracked lips repeatedly.

Bobby's stomach was completely empty, without a bit of food left.

"Crunch!"

Bobby grabbed a handful of crushed instant noodles and shoved them into his mouth.

"Mm-mm..."

He kept chewing the dry noodles.

But the more he ate, the more he wanted to drink water.

Still, to survive, Bobby finished all the noodles, not even leaving the crumbs on the floor.

"Damn! I'm so thirsty, and this crappy apartment has to cut off the water now..."

After eating, Bobby had some temporary strength.

He leaned back on the sofa and cursed.

Before he could finish his rant, he suddenly heard a dripping sound from the balcony.

What?!

Bobby thought the water had returned on the balcony.

He rushed out to check.

But it wasn't the balcony faucet.

Instead, there was a pale yellow stream coming from the third floor.

Stel was peeing onto Bobby's balcony.

"You! Damn you!"

Bobby cursed Stel loudly.

Upon hearing the water, Bobby had almost opened his mouth to drink.

But it was Stel's urine.

"How does it feel to be without water?"

Stel finished peeing, fastened his belt, and smirked.

"You!"

Bobby was about to curse again but then had a sudden thought.

"How do you know my water's been cut off?"

Bobby figured the entire building must have lost water, so Stel's place too.

That's how he knew.

Thinking this, Bobby regained his confident look.

If everyone's water was cut off, there was nothing to be arrogant about!

"Haha, if my water's cut off, so is yours."

"You dare pee on my balcony? Soon, you won't even have urine to drink."

Hearing Bobby's retort,

Stel just chuckled.

Then he ordered Elsie to turn on the faucet on their balcony.

Elsie complied.

Three seconds later, the sound of rushing water could be heard from the third-floor balcony.

Some water even overflowed from the basin.

Ordinarily, Bobby wouldn't even look at such dirty water.

But now, it was more precious than gold to him!

"You! How come you have water? What did you do?"

The moment Bobby heard the water, he knew something was wrong.

If the water was cut off, it should be cut off for everyone.

But your place still has water, while mine doesn't.

And you knew my water was cut off.

With these three points, Bobby was almost certain that Stel was behind his water shutoff!

His anger surged.

"That's right, it was me."

Stel admitted without hesitation.

After all, he had gone to great lengths to shut off Bobby's water valve.

Just to see Bobby, unable to drink, lose his temper now.

"What did you do!"

Bobby shouted angrily.

"Not much, just went to the basement and turned off your water valve."

"Not just for today. From now on, you won't get a drop of water."

"Oh, of course, there's one way you can get water."

"That's to beg me to pee on your balcony every day."

"In that case, just open your mouth, and you'll get some fresh water."

Stel held his belt and laughed out loud.
