Potential Suitors For Winter

Winter sat down unceremoniously.

"Get me snacks please?" Winter told Tobias.

He nodded and ran out of the office.

His own job is to find Clinton in the office building using his authority as Winter's butler while she distract Josephina from getting rid of the problem.

"So mom how have you been?" Winter said thinking of a topic to keep her engrossed.

Josephina smiled and replied" am good and you baby?"

"Very fresh mom" Winter replied still thinking. It's very hard to find a topic Josephina is interested in not to say engrossed in.

"You haven't visited me since the other night,don't you miss your mother?"

Josephina tested the waters, she is aware of the fact her daughter is sensitive to magic and 'she' had tried to use magic on her. It might be her daughter didn't feel it since she can't really sense strong magic.

"Am so sorry mom,it's the classes and I have to give you some space to find a boyfriend since am no longer in your hair " said Winter with a playful smile.

Josephina furrowed her brows frowning deeply.

Winter realized what she said and lifted her lips in a awkward smile. That is a sore topic for her mom since her father died nine years ago.

"Ahem"she coughed awkwardly "I meant I was looking for a boy for myself"

Josephina frowned grew deeper as her eyes showed a twinge of anger.

Winter mentally slapped herself, why is she just saying the wrong thing all afternoon. Doesn't what she said mean that her mother keeps driving away her boyfriends?

"Am sorry if you feel like that" Josephina apologized to the only person she can ever to.

Winter felt even more guilty and angry at herself.

"I didn't mean it like that mom..it's just am very tired with the classes and everything" Winter said tiredly. Honestly finding the kiss stealer is what is mainly on her mind all week but in the little corner of her heart she is worried about the school and how it's problem are relating to her.

"Everything?" Josephina asked confused.

Winter panicked a little. That's right, her mother didn't know anything.

"I mean..the fights I usually get into"

"What other fights? Are there other ones than the two this week?!" The voice sound panicked and worried almost flying up from the seat.

"No!!" She shook her head" I meant the two..."

Winter stopped on seeing the pictures on her mother's table after her mom shook the table. She picked up the pictures with an incredulous and shocked look.

They were all pictures of young men in their early twenties with names and information written neatly under them. They all have one thing in common..They are all rich and belonged to powerful backgrounds. This bold and neat handwriting definitely belonged to Josephina. She saw a page with names of the young men written there and below the page is..

She looked up at Josephina with a look of strong disbelief.

"Mom..what are these?" She asked with a tremble in her voice.

"What?" Josephina casually took the pictures and folded them neatly placing them back on the table.

"What does this means?" She asked as her voice couldn't help but raise a little.

"Someone planted them there" Josephina replied calmly, no fluctuation, no expression,just calm.

"Someone? "Winter didn't believe her. Who would dare plant something on her table.

"Yes someone" Josephina nodded still very calm and a little casual.

"Someone planted a dozens of pictures of young men all with wealthy backgrounds with their names written as potential suitors for me?"

She too grew calm like her mother not showing any emotions.

"Yes"

This is just too much! After chasing away her ex because of he is 'lower class' she went ahead to look for wealthy men.

Winter signed and pinched her nose bridge "okay"

Josephina's calm face cracked a bit. She showed an unnatural look and didn't hid it on time for Winter to catch a look.

"Okay?"

" Okay" Winter said steeled. This is a good opportunity to mention Clinton but she wouldn't so her mother won't investigate there relationship behind her. She would just use this as an excuse to meet up with him.

"I will arrange for you to meet up with them"

Josephima didn't actually expect Saint's plan to work. She didn't search for anyone for Winter but Saint said he isn't at ease with her almost always alone so he wanted to search for a nice bodyguard for her and one with a good experience. So he got bodyguards that has experience working for wealthy families. But knowing Winter she would reject it without hesitation so he pretended they are suitors for her and knowing her hidden temper she would agree.

Josephina said not to worry since there are covert guards around her but that he said it wasn't a bother.

"Okay" Winter replied her mood off but she can't leave since Tobias is still there searching for Clinton while she still has to distract Josephina.

Winter phone dinged and she saw a text from Tobias.

[A man will call up to your mother's telephone don't let her receive it]

Just then the telephone rang.

Josephina reached out to take it.

"Hello" Winter's long hand had already took it. She gave Josephina a bright smile and mouthed she would help her.

"Um there is a boy here and he says he his the young miss butler, he is requesting to see the employees name list?"

"Let him" She replied.

"Is this the young miss?" The man noticed the voice is odd.

"Yes it's me"

"Okay young miss"

Winter hung up the call.

"The call turned out to be for me, someone wouldn't let him check something and called to confirm first"

"What thing?" Josephina caught her key word.

"Just a chip's flavor" Winter replied without any nervousness not flustered like someone lying.

Whenever Josephina goes to confirm if her daughter's butler asked to check something they would say yes. It's a good thing her mother hates unnecessary long sentences.
