There Is A Big Situation

Joseph didn't even reach the door before Jude's father Joshua came out.

He glanced at Joseph surprised and confused. He doesn't remember where he and Joseph have any intersection or discussion.

"Afternoon Mr Norman" Kira greeted politely.

Joshua craned his neck and saw Kira behind Joseph.

"Hey kids" Joshua replied his voice a little confused.

"Sorry to bother you Mr Norman is Jude inside, we want to ask him a few questions" Kira said sweetly. She had to do everything since Joseph is standing there with an icy expression just looking coldly at the door.

"What questions?" Joshua asked vigilantly.

His son had never been held important in their group of friends and always ignored. Now two of the most important member of the group come to his house and ask to question his son making him wary.

He isn't important in the board and is just kept because of some reasons. He and his group of superhumans would have been banned from powers school if it weren't for that reason.

So naturally he has no power to protect his son if this two decides to take him and torture him.

This is Josephina's famous style of questioning and also her son Joseph only known style of questioning.

"Not much, just some casual questions" Kira is now getting impatient. She doesn't want to use her father's power to make this man give up his son still wanting to keep her image.

And she also don't want to spread the fact Winter is missing any longer than those that knows, if it spread and they eventually finds Winter but Josephina caught wind of it that her precious daughter once went missing while she was gone?!

The dark room floated in her mind making her shudder in fright.

"What causal question?" Joshua won't back down on protecting his son.

"Just some so so" Kira replied vaguely.

" What so..?"

"Is your son home or not?!" Joseph said angrily.

Joshua was startled by Joseph angry voice and knew he meant business.

"He is not home" he replied. His son haven't come home for a few days only kept in touch so he wouldn't worry.

Joseph stared at him with a pair of cold scrutinizing eyes. Like his son this man also had this weird ability that made it impossible to hear his thoughts, now he doesn't know if the man is lying or not.

"There is a big situation now and we believe your son can give us answers, please Mr Norman where is your son?"

Like Joseph Kira also didn't believe him and thinks he and his son are colluding together to hide Winter.

Joshua was honestly speechless.

'what big situation is Jude involved in?'

The serious faces of the two told him they are not lying.

"I don't know where he is but you two can give him a call to ask" Joshua replied.

Joseph mouth lightly twitched while Kira's face changed a little.

That's right they didn't have Jude's phone number.

They always ignored him and didn't care but now with this kind of situation they realized their behavior might have been a little stupid. At least they would have just put it on blacklist!

Joshua saw the changed atmosphere.

'dont they have his number?!'

He enjoyed this moment when they realize they have done something wrong for years! However he also felt sad, is this how his son is ignored in the group.

He enjoyed their misery so he decided not to help.

Kira smiled a little stiffly and turned to Joseph.

'he too?'

Joseph turned to look at her also and they realize the same thing.

Kira quickly opened her phone and checked the group chat that had Jude in it.

She picked the number in it and called it several times but that didn't go through.

"Here" Joseph handed his phone to her.

Kira saw the wallpaper is a picture of him and Winter hugging with smiles. The indulgent and tender look in his eyes was captured by the camera perfectly.

She felt a twinge of jealousy and malice flashed through her eyes.

This girl might steal her potential suitors from her after all she is adopted and who knows whether she will fall in love with Joseph. Josephina will agree to a marriage right away if she wants it knowing how much Josephina adores her.

Joseph silently gave her a glance and looked downwards again.

Kira had always never have any thoughts about it always careful to keep her innermost feelings about the two from being a thought. However she unknowingly thought about the marriage thing between Joseph and Winter which Joseph beside her heard.

An unknown emotion flashed through his eyes. His mood became complicated.

'does she think of her own best friend like that?'

She suppressed the jealousy and made the call with Joseph phone several times but the call didn't went through like hers.

"Sir am having a little difficulty getting through to him can you call him with your phone?" Kira asked completely embarrassed.

It seems Jude is faster than them and had placed them on his call blacklist.

"Am sorry kids my phone ran out of battery and the charging cord is spoilt, I was about to get another when you two came"

Kira looked dissatisfied now.

'is this man intentionally doing it?'

"Sir please release your son!" She couldn't hold it any longer and ordered angrily.

"What do you mean?" Joshua face changed drastically. She couldn't bear to keep acting polite and obedient?

"You are hiding your son inside right?! Because you already know what he did!"

Kira accused angrily.

She had to make it seem like she really care about Winter, she doesn't really care if Jude is in or not.

Joseph just kept his silent gaze between her and Joshua.

" I don't know what you are saying! My son haven't been home for a few days now!" Joshua was powerless against the ability this girl holds due to her father's position.

Kira opened her mouth to continue, she was soon interrupted by a cold and serious voice behind her.

Beauty walked forward with a row of mer guards.

"He is right Jude isn't here"

She had realized the severity of the situation and was way more efficient than the two quickly getting some information.
