The holidays have finally arrived

Part 1 - The hotel

Emi was quite discouraged because she couldn't convince Nikota's grandparents to come with us, she didn't tell me very well what happened, but apparently it wasn't something nice for her, she was almost the whole trip without saying anything in the bus.

I couldn't talk much either, and it was because something abnormal happened, in the middle of the trip Aki fell asleep on me, which was strange, since this was the second time she slept since she had lost her body, but at least I took advantage of something I wanted to do for a while, that Aki rested on me while she slept and I caressed her head.

The bus stopped, a sign that we had finally arrived, so I woke up Aki, who yawned very tenderly while rubbing her face on my chest, it was a lovely thing to see, but what made me melt with tenderness was her sweet tone of voice when she woke up, something that made me hug her without thinking and she loved it.

Without even having entered the hotel it was already amazing, there were two giant statues of cats that had snow on top of them, the place up here was even colder than the city, well we were in the mountains so it made sense.

Emi's face had gotten a little worse since the start of the trip.

-Emi, come on, we've been waiting for this for a long time, cheer up, let your brother hug you.

I gave him a hug from behind, placing the necklace in his one good hand, so he could feel Aki's embrace as well.

-Wow, what am I going to do without you guys when you're older and have to make your home.

-Maybe get a boyfriend.

Emi let go of me and gave me a smack on the head, one that hurt, but the comment I threw out at least snapped him out of his sadness.

-You unfeeling, unfeeling jerk, look at you saying that to me, knowing how I feel.

During Emi's protest to me a cat climbed on her back, something that filled her with tenderness and she forgot about the challenge.

As soon as we noticed there were a lot of cats around us, more than twelve and we hadn't even entered the hotel, and we hadn't even gone to the temple.

After playing with the cats for a while, we entered the hotel, the only problem was that Aki was now discouraged, as the cats couldn't see her or interact with her, and I put a collar on a cat, without letting go of the collar, in case the kitty would escape, but it didn't work either.

Inside it was very different from outside, it was very acclimatized, it was warm, the whole hall was made of wooden logs which made it look beautifully rustic, and there were many cats around, twice as many as outside, some cats were playing with some guests that were around and others were just walking around or resting looking at the local people, no doubt they were used to people.

Emi checked us in, with a very nice lady, who for some reason kept looking at Emi, and Aki and I thought the same thing, that the receptionist had caught Emi's attention, and she had noticed it, but she wasn't very happy about it.

Once we finished checking out we went to the hotel room, while I teased Emi a bit about the receptionist, to which she replied that she should have known by now that she shouldn't be interested in women in a romantic way.

When we arrived at the hotel we realised that the plan we had with Aki had gone down the drain, because the room Emi asked for was a single room with a living room, a small dining room, a big bathroom with a shower and the bedroom was divided into two beds.

-The big bed is yours children, the smaller one is mine, well it's time to stop thinking about what we couldn't do, and enjoy this place so I'm going to take a shower, you take the opportunity to look at the guide that is on the table to see what we can do, you choose.

-Understood Emi. - I said thoughtfully, while she went to the bathroom.

I approached the table to take the guide, it was a sheet of paper wrapped in plastic so that the paper wouldn't get damaged, but it said there the activities that could be done, the ones that had to be paid for separately and the ones that were included in the accommodation.

The breakfasts were included, as well as a trip to the temple, also the onsen (hot springs coming from a volcano) were included, everything else was paid, like skiing, the cat cafe, massages, hot tub and there was an activity that caught my attention which was to observe the northern lights, and I was lucky that without knowing the dates, they could be observed during these nights.

Part 2 - The Mine Café

I had to ask Emi if there was something wrong with her, because she had been in the shower for almost an hour, to which she replied that no, she just wanted to relax and that it was difficult for her to bathe with one arm.

But his answer calmed me down, lately I was nervous about everything, since I had left Sou invalid, I was more worried than ever, and I worried about everything, more than I should have, or things affected me more than usual.

Aki was a bit sad, we thought we were going to have separate parts, which was our fault for not asking Emi beforehand.

-Hey Aki, don't worry, it's ok, don't worry, come on, let's forget about everyone and have a good time.

-No, it doesn't matter, we even had to argue about this, and now our first time is gone, we can't do it if Emi is in the same room.

-Don't worry, we'll find another way to do it, we don't necessarily have to have our first time in the room.

Aki looked at me carefully.

-What do you have in mind Hika?

-Nothing yet Aki, but we'll see, besides we'll be here for three days, there's plenty of time for something to come up.

-I hope so. - Aki said discouraged.

I couldn't help but laugh a little, but in a tender way, apparently the roles were reversed and she was the one who wanted to do it more than me... thinking about it, she wanted everything to be special, to be something we wouldn't forget.

I went over to my things, before the trip I had bought a present for her, the small package came in handy, when Aki came over I quickly put it in my bag without her noticing.

She gave me a strange look, but to my luck Emi came out of the bathroom almost half naked.

-Why don't we go to the cat cafe? - I said trying to divert her attention to something else.

Emi was drying her hair with a towel, but it was too hard for her.

-Come here, pass it to me, I'll dry your hair.

-Thank you Hikaru, I appreciate it.

I was helping Emi to dry her hair, and to dress her, because it was hard for her, once I finished helping her with some of Aki's hair, which Emi took advantage of to bother a little bit, the good thing that in the end they ended up laughing both.

We went to the café, which was full of cats. For the food you ordered, they gave you special biscuits to feed the kittens, you could also play with them, or sit next to the cats.

Emi looked like a cat magnet, one had climbed on her lap, another one was on her ribs and another one on her head, which was a bit funny, but she was delighted, but still the same thing kept happening, no cat would come near Aki, which hurt me, but it was to be expected, in the end they couldn't see her, the problem was she was discouraged and this made it worse.

-Aki, I promise you that everything will get better, I promise, I will make it better, I assure you.

I gave her a kiss, something that she still liked despite her bad mood, after the kiss I decided to give the necklace to Emi, so they could interact as well.

Emi did a better job than me distracting her, she was able to get her out of her negativity at the cost of embarrassing moments from when she was a baby, but if she was happy then it was worth the embarrassment.

A black cat with messy fur approached us, and caught Aki's attention.

-It can't be that cat... if that's him, Hika, that's the cat I told you a while ago in class that reminded me of you.

-Don't you think it must be a similar one, we are far away from the city Aki.

The cat jumped on me, sniffed me, then walked away, looked at Aki, meowed and climbed on her lap, touching her, being able to interact with her something that left me completely frozen.

-He's touching me Hikaru! - shouted Aki very excited.

But something else caught my attention, something in Aki's scream, her scream made the water in the glasses tremble.
