Chapter 7

Pue DexterYOU LOST THEM?! Pue yelled while standing in front of Travis.  Travis looked down on the floor and said "I know you kicked me out of the case, but I still wanted to help so I went by her house and I saw the...the lights on.BUT no one answered the door so I tried calling Sam and it went to voicemail.."  Pue pushed passed Travis and calls his bodyguard to come to him. The bodyguard arrived within 20 minutes. Pue stood before him and said "I need you to be the eyes for me in that house. I need to know what is happening in that house. Are they even in the house? Break in, but don't leave any evidence! Don't disappoint me!"  The bodyguard nodded his head and walked away to the elevator. As Pue walked to his desk, his phone started ringing and it was Ms. Magua. Pue picked it up and heard Ms.Magua singing... Ms.Magua started off the conversations with "Lalalalala...How are you my dear?  Pue took a deep breath and said "I am doing okay Ms. Magua."  She stopped singing and asked"How's the case? Any progress?"  Pue sat down at his desk and replied "Right now we got eyes on the entire household so if something happens then we got them!  Ms. Magua sighed and said "Pue, you remember how we met right hah... You were just a weak little boy that wanted to feed your family. I still remember the day like it was yesterday. You stole a piece of bread from a restaurant. I followed you to your house and saw you give that little piece of bread to all of your family. Your father slapped you for not getting any money. Your mother was pregnant with your little sister at the time. How is your family?" Pue looked down at the floor and said "They are doing good! My sister just got into her choice of college. My mother's bakery is doing great! You already know about my father..He disappeared years ago. I wouldn't know where I would be now if I hadn't met you back then. I really do appreciate you Ms. Magua."  She laughed and asked "Is this how you show your appreciation? Pue I know you lost sight of the two human girls. Instead of telling me the truth..You lied to me! You know I hate liars... You know what I do to liars! You know the drill, If you don't want your family harmed then GET ME THOSE HUMANS NOWWWWW!" As she hung up the phone Pue started to have a panic attack in his office An hour later, he called his buddy Hugh on the police force. Pue said "Hugh! My buddy! My right-hand man! How are you?"  Hugh sighed and replied "What do you want this time? You only call when you want something"  Pue smiled and said "I swear, you are the only person outside of my family that truly knows me..I need your help with finding two people."  Hugh whispered "I am not doing this again. Remember the last time you had me find that family and now there is no trace of them. My co-workers still consider me an outcast. Do you know how suspicious that made me on the police force? I had to clean up your mess last time and almost lost my job. SO NO!" Pue sighed and replied"They threatened my family Hugh...I had to do it!" Hugh sighed and asked "Why are these aliens always messing with you? Why can't you make a clean break of them? They are using you Pue and I won't always be here to clean up after you!"  Pue smiled and asked, "Does that mean you will help me out?"  Hugh laughed and asked, "What do you need?"  Pue smiled and replied, "I need you to put two girls on the wanted list so I can get a warrant and break into their house!"  Hugh yelled"NO, I bet these girls did not ask to be hunted by you..no! Do this yourself this time!" As Hugh hung up the phone, he heard Pue sniffling a cry.  As Pue heard Hugh hung up the phone, tears started to fall on his cheek. I did all this for the Rulers, only for them to threaten to kill my family. I'm tired.. Pue left for home, he saw his mother walking in the building with some cupcakes. Pue smiled and went to hug his mother in the lobby. He looked at her and said"Mom this is a surprise! What are you doing here?"  His mother smiled and said "Your friend called me and said you need some inspiration for work.  Pue started to sweat a little on his brow while plastering a smile on his face. His mother wiped the sweat off and asked "Baby, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a monster hahah ..I am just your mother ahah."  Pue took his mother's hand and walked her to his office.  She sat down and said "Baby, it's good that you are surrounded by people that care for you. She is the person that gave me the cupcakes. It tastes sooo GOOD!"  Pue looked at his mom and asked "Mom you already ate a cupcake? How are you feeling? Any sweats or chills? Who gave you the cupcakes?" Mom smiled and said "Nothing but my usual aches and it was left by the front door with a note signed by Ms.Magua."  Pue smiled and muttered "Well just to be sure, I can have my doctor take a quick look at you.. Just to be sure."  Mom laughed and responded, "Baby I am fine, but if you insist then I guess I will agree to it.."  Pue opened up his phone and called his doctor to stop by the office. An hour later, the Doctor showed up at the office. Pue smiled and said "You can use the room down the hallway if you need to scan her body...Don't ask why I have a room for that ..'' The doctor escorted his mother down the hallway to get a body scan.  While the mother is in the middle of getting scanned, the doctor asked " why do you have a room like this? Most of the time people have a room like this when someone is constantly sick and doesn't want anyone to know about it."  As the doctor gave him the side eye, Pue asked "So is anything wrong with my mother?" The doctor looked at the screen and said "Uhh everything looks fine except, what is that in her gastrointestinal tract? That should not be there.."  Pue looked at the doctor and asked "What shouldn't be there?"  The doctor looked at Pue and said "I'll do a double-check on this and get back to you! I just want to make sure everything is okay. I will get back to you in a few days." Pue looked at the doctor in shock and asked "really doc...okay, but I will need an answer in a few days."  The doctor walked to the room to help his mother up from the scan. His mother walked toward Pue and said "see, I am 100% fine and leaving! I forgot that my cookies were in the oven, so I have to go baby, bye!" Before Pue could respond, he saw his mother walking away in haste out the door. BOOM!  Ms.Magua kicked the door down with a wave of water flowing into the office.
