The story is about a police detective named Akida Kinai, who loses his job and decides to be a private investigator, his work becomes famous and gains a lot of money. He later meets a widow during a case that involves a prominent serial killer who kills people and makes it look like an accident, who was named Bakari. He falls in love with the widow who lost his husband via suicide. The widow doubts the claim of his husband ending his life and wants to know how he died. Eventually due to meeting with the widow often, Akida starts to develop feelings for the widow even though, it goes against his professional ethics.
He then decides to propose and they soon get married only for tragedy to hit when her wife gets into an accident. This leads to a downward spiral and he begins to drink. One day while on his usual sad trips, he stumbles on a box that had his wife’s belongings and sees a pendant with weird inscriptions. He then remembered the pendant was a good luck charm from her. Due to anger in remembering the happy days, he crashes the pendant and cries out until he sleeps in. 
The next day he wakes up and finds himself in his apartment, six years ago when he was investigating the cases and is about to meet the widow in two days, since the death of her husband who was a prominent figure was a week before. Noticing that it’s his second chance, Akida vows to find Bakari as he later starts to connect the dots that Bakari may have killed the widow and make it look like an accident.

I got a very cooperative witness who might have helped solve the case or maybe even end a three-year murder case. I started asking questions about various cases that I got from the file Lisa gave me. I was so caught up and desperate to get the case done but I wasn't even close.

Before Ken died He and I decided to make the witness kind of like a snitch for the streets. I was so sure that I was going get the guy and have solved a three-year case at that time in just a few months or so I thought. After getting pictures of key witnesses that have been linked to the Bakari case, we opened a lot of secrets that Bakari covered.

Bakari had well almost everyone on his payroll and boy were they a lot. I mean everyone was in his pockets, I'm talking politicians, businessmen, teachers, bankers, yes teachers and bankers and also the guy that sells street food across the streets. You think this guy was God. I was even wondering why I was given cases like this or this case for instance.

So, we narrowed down the guys in the local commuting, like bus drivers that were also on his payroll and found out that the unknowns well part of them were hiding in this specific sector and we were shocked by the number of criminals that were there. We had a few arrests and my gut was telling me that I'm getting warmer each day I think I'm getting closer and closer to catching him.

Of course, there were other people on the case like Danny and Johnson two detectives with a huge ego and a lot of pride in their belt. Michael is the nosey one always eavesdropping and then goes to tell Johnson like some gossip monger in a girl group and Johnson is cunning, considering when he was a teenager he managed to pickpocket a lot of pockets and loves women a lot. I mean he has a photo of two women in a bikini on his desktop as a screen saver. I always see the two guys in those buddy cop movies when the two cops meet two other creepy annoying cops who always love to rub it in when it comes to arrests and closing cases.

Well in this case the body cop movie came with a twist because instead of having two cops and their wired archenemies protagonist, we have two Private investigators with a nark for getting good cases and getting praise at the end. That was how it was supposed to be until Danny came to my home, in the middle of the night and told me that Kenneth was dead.
