Reflection 1

The tumultuous conflict among the younger disciples came to an unexpectedly anticlimactic end, leaving many bewildered and disoriented.

This altercation involved numerous parties, with the Law Enforcement Hall deploying over a hundred disciples to encircle Su Yan, indirectly underscoring her formidable prowess.

Yang Kai, the other principal figure in the event, also garnered significant attention. Opinions varied widely, from disdain to admiration, and the range of commentary was vast.

At this moment, Yang Kai was in a deep slumber.

After leaving the Forest Prison, Yang Kai fell into an immediate sleep. Despite the non-lethal nature of his injuries sustained from the beating by five Law Enforcement disciples, the wounds were severe enough that, but for the persistent determination within him, he would have succumbed.

With the turmoil settled, the concern that had sustained him dissipated, leading to his unconscious state.

Upon awakening, Yang Kai was astonished to find himself lying in an unfamiliar bed. His entire body ached, and as he moved his eyes to survey his surroundings, he noticed the room's austere elegance and profound tranquility.

It resembled Su Yan's modest quarters in the Blackwind Trade City.

Struggling to rise, the noise he made likely alerted those outside, as soon Su Mu entered, visibly relieved and moved.

Li Yuntian and others were present as well, accompanying Su Mu into the room, their expressions reflecting relief as they regarded Yang Kai.

"Senior Brother Yang, how do you feel?" Su Mu approached to help him up.

"It's nothing serious," Yang Kai replied, gently circulating his energy and discovering that, while not gravely injured, he needed several days of rest.

"Once again, you've saved me, Senior Brother. I'm grateful," Su Mu said awkwardly.

"Don't mention it," Yang Kai waved his hand dismissively.

"By the way, these are the medicinal pills from my grandfather. They are for healing, as well as for cultivation," Su Mu said, producing and arranging several bottles by the bedside.

"Elder Second?" Yang Kai was taken aback. "This is quite a lot."

"Not at all," Su Mu replied. "You've sustained significant injuries and require proper recuperation."

"Then please convey my thanks to Elder Second."
