Song threw the body of the ice mage to the ground, pulling Stefam and the red haired man's attention. They saw the headless body of the ice mage, with the dagger wielder close by, also decapacitated, with his hand cleanly severed from his body.
Goosebumps appeared all over the red haired giant's body as he witnessed how Song changed the entire situation so quickly. The kind of feeling he was getting from Song was one he had never before experienced from a Suguden, this was just way more than he could imagine. Even Stefam could not help but gulp at Song's cold efficiency, the disparity made it clear to him that he still had a lot to learn.
'So this is Deswill Song, some person he his. How is this man a Suguden? Tch, these Tasvillers.' The red haired man thought in fear and confusion.
"Prince Stefam! Song's gruff voice suddenly cut through the tension.
Stefam instinctively glanced at Song at the mention of his name.
"Are you okay?" Song asked him while glancing at his bloodied hand encased in ice with spikes all over it.
The quick progression of sequence and Song's sudden arrival had made him forget that arm was still encased in ice. "Ah, this." Stefam said awkwardly before flexing the arm, causing a light to emanate from it and melt the ice.
"I'm alright now." He said with a look of gratitude.
"Hmph." Song grunted in response before turning back to the red haired man.
"Metath." Song spoke. "What could have made you join in on this?"
The red haired man sneered. "I'm just a soldier, don't ask me that, ask our leaders. I know I'm going to die now, so I'll just go out in a blaze of flames, literally." He said with a fierce expression suggesting he was ready to take Song on.
"Sigh." Song heaved an exasperated sigh. He stepped forward, his presence as chill as ever.
"AHH!" The red haired man roared with indignation, searing flames billowing off his form, it seemed as if his figure had taken up a flaming form.
With a 'crack' his foot left a mini crater on the ground as he blasted off in flames towards Song with incredible speed. Song spun his blade, blue light following its movement. He had a fierce expression as he raised his blades forward.
With a deep roar, the red haired man unleashed a mighty wave of flames at Song. The huge wave covered Song's entire line of sight, hiding the red haired man from his view. Song frowned his face when he saw the approaching flames, the radiation from it already causing his skin to tingle even before they got to him.
In a split second the entirety of the flames washed over Song in a fiery wave. Song quickly slashed his blades In front of himself in an 'X' shape. A blue aura flashed from the blade through the thick flames that almost seemed solid.
The aura slashed through the flames cutting off a small portion of it. The slash gave Song a bit of reprieve even as the entire wave burned over. The thin blue aura covering Song's body flickered wildly, as if trying to counter the crimson flames that washed over him.
As the wave was coming to an end, a sudden chill went up Song's spine. He saw a pair of crimson glowing eyes behind the flames, right In front of him. Alarms barred in his head as a fist covered in condensed flames rushed rapidly at his face.
There was nothing Song could do to avoid the fist, it was too quick, too sudden and perfectly timed. The best he could do was use the blue aura wrapping his form to absorb the impact from the blow.
A crunching punch filled with flames met Song's face in the next moment. Like a ragdoll, Song's body flew helplessly from the impact of the blow, flying across the field, crashing through multiple buildings before his body finally stopped a distance away.
Stefam stared wide-eyed as he saw the mighty Song just get blown away by a devastating punch. 'He used the flames as a sort of diversion, keeping Master Song occupied with the wave, while he blended into the flame with his flaming body, catching master Song off guard.' Stefam quickly summarized the situation in his head with a shocked expression.
This was not a fight the current Stefam could participate in. He was still too young and too inexperienced. But he felt he needed to do something, because if he didn't, Song might just lose, and that wouldn't bode well for Tasvill. Finally making up his mind, Stefam brought his hands together and wove some signs.
The red haired man pulled his arm back after the punch and arched his body ready to propel himself towards the location Song crashed.
PEW!
A thin beam of light suddenly pierced his shoulder. The attack caused him to stagger, interrupting his movements. The red haired man looked towards the position the light beam came from and he saw a lone light circle hovering just above him.
"Tch, too shallow." Stefam clicked his tongue in irritation at the little effect his attack had on the red haired man. He quickly wove another hand sign and the magic circle facing the red haired man spun, another smaller circle appearing over it.
A split second later, the combined circles spat another beam of light at the red haired man, this time the beam was way thicker than the first.
The red haired man quickly rolled away from the line of attack, barely avoiding the beam that could have easily pierced his chest and his heart. Attacks like that were fairly easy to predict, because of the position the circles usually face where the attack would go, but it then depended on the speed of whoever is on the receiving end to dodge, and in most cases they were difficult to dodge.
After avoiding the attack, the red haired man's focus was now on Stefam.
Stefam flinched when he saw the scowl on the red haired face, as he glared at him.
