"Why don't you want him to stay uncle? He's not a bad person" The little girl questioned, her grip on Ivan's shirt tightening.
He didn't do anything to me when mummy came. So he's not a bad person."
"I didn't say he's a bad person." Roan responded, trying to keep his frustration in check.
"Then if he isn't a bad person why should he go?" Irene quipped back almost immediately.
Roan's brow twitched at her quick response. He could feel a headache coming up and he used a hand to massage his forehead.
"He's a stranger and I don't trust him, I just don't want him here with us."
"But I don't want him to go." Irene said again, maintaining her childish gaze at Roan, that seemed to plead to him to change his mind. "Please let him stay, uncle."
