NEXT STEP 1

JAYDEN'S POV

 I decided to go home after going for a long drive with Ronnie and Ryan. It was already night time by the time I arrived home. Mom wasn't back from work yet

 I went upstairs to my room immediately and took a cold shower before wearing my night wear

 I decided to go to the kitchen to grab something to eat

 "Hey Mary" I said when I entered the kitchen 

 She was making dinner while the other maids were doing thing or the other

 "Oh hi. You're back. Why did you come home this late?" she asked

 Mary is the chief maid and she's also my personal maid. She's like a mother to me. Asides my mum, she's the only woman I go to whenever I need advice. She also treats me like her own child. Maybe because she doesn't have any child of her own yet 

 "What are you thinking about uhn? She said snapping me out of my thoughts 

 "Uhn, you were saying?" I asked

 I actually heard her the first time but I didn't have any good excuse to give so I decided to buy myself some thinking time by asking her

 "Why are you back so late?" She asked me again

 "Well, I was with Ronnie and Ryan and we kinda lost track of time. Sorry" I said holding my two ears

 "You're forgiven but don't stay out so late again okay" she said

 "Yes I promise Mary. I wouldn't want you to scold me again" I said teasingly 

 "I'm afraid I won't be able to scold you again Jayden" she said and I was kinda confused

 "What do you mean by that?" I asked

 "I resigned Jayden" she said and I was so shocked

 "What? Why? When? Why?" I asked her all at once 

 "Yes Jayden. I submitted the letter four days ago and today's my last day here" she announced 

 "But why?" I asked getting emotional 

 "Well, I'm pregnant" she said

 I was so surprised and happy at the same time

 "OMG Mary. I'm so happy for you" I said hugging her 

 "Thank you" she said giggling 

 I pulled away from the hug and she continued cooking 

 "Okay that's enough work for you. I'll ask another maid to continue from where you stopped" I said collecting the wooden spoon from her

 "Jayden, I'm fine. You do have to worry. I can handle it myself, you don't need to call someone. Now give the spoon back to me" she said collecting the spoon from me

 That's Mary for you. She loves her job and does it wholeheartedly. She doesn't let any one else do it for her

 "I'm going to miss you Mary" I said 

 "Awwwnn me too my child" she said and pulled my cheeks lightly

 "Okay, at least let me help you" I asked her and started chopping the vegetables 

 We finished cooking and started setting the dining table. We were about to start having dinner when mum came in with her assistant Kim 

 "Hey mum" I said leaving the dining area and going to meet her

 "Good evening ma'am" Mary also greeted 

 "Good evening Mary. How you doing?" She asked Mary 

 "I'm doing fine ma'am" Mary replied 

 "Good. How was school baby?" Mum asked 

 "School was fine mum. Hey Kim. Looking good like always" I said teasingly 

 "Thank you" Kim said blushing 

 "Enough now. Go have your dinner"mum said and went to her room with Kim 

 Mary and I started having dinner and we were chatting, laughing and making good memories together 

 "Good night aunt. Good night Jayden" Kim said after leaving mum's room 

 "Good night" I said and blew her a kiss

 "Why not have dinner with us before leaving Kimberly?" Mary asked

 "Thank you aunty but I still have some work to do in the office. I'll have dinner once I'm done" Kim said

 "Okay dear. At least let me pack dinner for you. You can have it in the office before you leave okay. You have eat on time and stay healthy if you want to continue working" Mary said dishing the food into a thermoflask 

 "Here you go. Make sure you finish it okay" Mary said 

 "Okay aunt. I promise. Thank you"Kim said and left after giving Mary a hug

 Mum joined us 5 minutes after Kim left

 "This smells delicious" mum said after Mary dished her food

 "Of course mum. Mary and I prepared it together" I said feeling proud about it

 "Is that so?" Mum asked Mary 

 "Yes ma'am. He helped out in the kitchen today" Mary replied 

 "That's good" mum said smiling 

 I finished dinner and left to my room after giving mum and Mary a good night kiss 

 I brushed my teeth and lay on my bed with my headphones on. I wasn't really feeling sleepy so I decided to listen to some music 

 I was still singing the lyrics of the song in my head when I remembered what happened earlier this morning. That girl is so going to pay. I'll make her life a living hell on earth

 "Drive slowly man" Ryan said

 "Why should I do that?" I asked

 "Coz there are lots of potholes on the road" Ryan replied 

 "Soo. It's my car so I'll drive however I want to drive" I said 

 "Fine then. Just know that you'll be blamed if anything bad happens" Ryan said

 "Whatever" I said 

 I increased the speed of the car and before I knew it, the tyres of the car went in and out of a huge pot hole making the car bounce up a bit

 "JAYDEN" Ryan yelled

 "Damn it man" Ronnie said suddenly 

 "What?" I asked

 "You just splashed mud water on someone. A girl to be specific" Ronnie said

 I whined down the tinted window and looked through my rear view mirror to see the girl he was talking about. I saw her jumping and shouting but we were far from her so I didn't hear any of her noise

 "You see what you've done now?" Ryan said

 "Why should I care" I said nonchalantly and whined the window back up

 We were still arguing when we suddenly heard a loud shattering noise. I was startled and I kinda lost control of the steering wheel for a while 

 The car was about to crash into a wall and I quickly stepped on the brakes. Thankfully the car stopped with a loud screech and it didn't hit the wall

 We all got down immediately to catch our breaths and to see what happened 

 I turned red immediately I saw that my rear view mirror was broken

 I looked back at the girl with my eyes red from anger. She was a bit far away so I couldn't see her face clearly. She ran off after a few seconds of standing there with her mouth opened. I noticed she was wearing the academy's uniform. It'll be easy to find her. I may not have seen her face clearly but I'm sure I'll be able to recognize her if I ever see her again 

 We got back into the car and headed to the academy. This time, I drove even faster. 

We arrived at the academy and almost all the students where standing outside probably waiting for us to arrive. The girls started screaming when we got out of the car. I never acknowledge any of their greetings and today was no exception. I just passed through them and headed to the hall ways

 I saw a crowd up ahead and I wondered what was happening. When I got closer, I saw Stephanie yelling at some girl, probably a newbie. 

I was a bit shocked when I saw the newbie Stephanie was yelling at

 I finally found her. She is mine to bully. No one else has the right to bully her now that she's my prey

 I suddenly got angry when Stephanie slapped her. I decided to intervene and make it clear to everyone that she's my prey

 "Apologize to her now" I said to Stephanie 

 I know she isn't going to apologise. She tried everything to make me side with her and not this newbie. I ignored all her pretense and made it clear to her that the newbie shouldn't be bullied by anyone. Stephanie was shocked by what I said but I couldn't care less

After Stephanie and the other students left, I made it clear to the newbie that she was my prey and that she wouldn't have it easy in the academy as long as I'm there 

 She looked scared and I was satisfied

 I drifted off to sleep after thinking of my next step to making her pay
