A NEW FRIEND

EMILY'S STANDPOINT

One day of horror done and dusted, I sighed in relief as I stood in front of my house.

I've never been more happier to be back home. At least I wouldn't have to see Alexander's face.

"Alexander!!!" Some group of girls yelled, seeing his face in a commercial and I frowned, displeased. Even at home he haunts me still.

I wonder what they all find attractive about him. As far as I was concerned and based on the few hours I've spent with him, he was an asshole.

I scoffed, heading into my house but then I suddenly paused in my tracks when I heard Aunty Tessy's voice and that of Dad's.

"Why isn't Emily back home? I thought her restaurant work ends by 6pm? This is 8pm and she is not yet back," Dad said, sounding worried.

I haven't told him that his precious daughter got fired and almost got close to losing the taekwondo center until something close to a miracle happened.
