Dorne V

(Third Person POV)

"You speak bold words for someone who is bleeding." Obara told Rhaegon as she took a step closer

"They're scratches." Rhaegon said as he twirled his blade, "They barely itch."

"I'm going to leave holes in you." Obara said, "And trust me, they'll hurt."

"Hm?" Rhaegon said wiith a smile as they both circled around each other, "How are you going to do that?"

"A thrust of this spear of course." Obara chuckled, "Why? Do you want to thrust me instead? You naughty boy."

"It's beginning to be tempting." Rhaegon said as he raised his blade and readied a stance, "Come."

In a swift motion, Obara thrust her speed forwards, aiming at Rhaegon's chest but the Black Dragon easily sidestepped and parried it, the force of the parry was enough to slightly stagger the Sand Snake, allowing Rhaegon to lunge forward and close the distance.

Were it any other spear-wielder, they would have lost their head, but Obara was no ordinary warrior; she was trained by Oberyn himself. She easily ducked underneath the clearly telegraphed swing from Rhaegon's sword and composed herself, slamming the butt of her spear against him and slightly pushing him away.

As Rhaegon took a step back, Obara spun around and swung her spear at him, only for him to block it with his sword, both blades clashing. The force of the clash caused Obara's hands to rattle, but she did not care about it.

She pulled the spear back and thrust at Rhaegon multiple times only to be easily deflected by Rhaegon's blade, Fury.

She took a step back, spinning her spear as she gave Rhaegon a slight smile, "Impressive." She said as she readied a stance, "I can see why my Father could not beat you."

Rhaegon chuckled, "You flatter me." He said, "You're not too bad yourself."

"Hmph." Obara said as she lunged yet again

Obara aimed her spear right at his head, only for Rhaegon to easily stepped to the side with great agility, something that Oberyn was not surprised by.

Rhaegon stepped to Obara's right, raising his blade for a counter-swing but Obara was alright pulling her spear back to defend herself.

Rhaegon swung the blade down as Obara brought the spear up to block the blade but Rhaegon immediately stopped inches before the blade met the shaft of the spear.

"F-Feint?" Obara muttered

Rhaegon then pulled his blade back and quickly pushed Obara away, creating distance between them.

"Hm." Tyene said with a frown

"Ah, you see it too, my dear." Oberyn said, "If Ser Rhaegon followed through with that swing, Obara would probably be dead. Valyrian Steel cuts too well. That shaft would've been cleaved like butter and your dear sister would have paid a hefty price."

"Why is he holding back?" Tyene asked

"It's obvious, dear Niece." Doran said, "He does not wish to harm any of you. Fighting you is his way of flattering his future paramours."

Obara scoffed, "You held back that swing?" She said with a raised eyebrow, "Do you think me weak?"

"No." Rhaegon said, "I just think I'm too strong for you. You're good, really good. But like I said, I've matched your Father in battle. And he's clearly a better fighter than you."

"Hmph." Obara said as she lunged forth

She thrust her spear at Rhaegon's midsection but Rhaegon stepped to the side with ease and in a surprising act, he lifted his foot up and stomped on the end of the spear's blade and forced it to hit the ground.

"W-What?" Obara said with surprise

Rhaegon smiled, "You're not winning." He said, "Have I proven myself to you?"

"No." Obara scowled

Oberyn chuckled, "Rhaegon is quite agile for someone of his size and power." he said, "Which is how he was able to match me in battle. There is no doubt that Obara knew this, but is in denial."

Rhaegon then immediately swung his blade, cutting through the spear's shaft, causing it to collapse as Obara stumbled forward.

"There ya go." Rhaegon caught Obara with his free arm and grabbed her by the waist

"W-What?!" Obara said with surprise, "You....!!"

Rhaegon chuckled, "Me." He said as he looked at her

Obara looked at him, "Let go of me." She said seriously

"Of course." Rhaegon said as he let her go, "Apologies."

Obara took a step back and looked down at her spear, cut into two pieces, "Asshole." She said as she picked the pieces up, "You owe me a new spear."

"Heh." Rhaegon chuckled again as he sheathed his sword

"Are we done?" Prince Doran said, "Ser Rhaegon.....your thoughts?"

Obara walked over to where Nymeria stood, still holding onto her midsection as she held her whip with the other hand.

"Not bad." Rhaegon said as he looked over to Morghul, "I think he also likes them."

Morghul, the Black Lord, was staring at this ordeal the whole time. He was attentively observing the two girls who had dared to step up to his rider and fight. Clearly, he understood that Rhaegon was going easy on them, but the dragon recognized their spirit. That did not mean that he would willingly let them touch him easily.

"So...." Oberyn said as he walked forwards and tucked Nymeria's hair behind her ear, "Your answer?"

Rhaegon patted his sleeves, "Hm...." He said as he looked at them, "You two, come here."

He was referring to Obara and Nymeria who frowned.

"What?" Obara said

"Naejot Mazis, Morghul" Rhaegon commanded

The Dragon slowly stepped forth, walking towards Rhaegon as he vocalized loudly.

"Hmm..." Rhaegon said as he patted his snout as Morghul snorted, "You want to touch him?"

Obara gave him a surprised look, "S-Seriously?" She said

Rhaegon looked at them, "I'm serious." He said, "Come."

Nymeria and Obara looked at each other in reluctance.

"Go on." Oberyn told his daughters

They then slowly stepped forth, walking towards Rhaegon and Morghul as the dragon blinked and snorted.

"Give me your hand." Rhaegon told Nymeria

Nymeria slowly raised her hand as Rhaegon took it, moving it gently towards Morghul's snout. As Nymeria's palm touched Morghul, the dragon vocalized loudly, snorting loudly as the force blew at Nymeria and Obara.

"H-Ha..." Nymeria laughed with a smile on her face

"Keep it on, do not be afraid." Rhaegon said, "Obara, give me yours..."

Obara reluctantly raised her hand, a bit nervous. Neither of them had been this close to a dragon before, they were both awestuck and a bit afraid. They admired the Black Lord from afar, breath taken by its majestic beauty.

Rhaegon placed her hand on Morghul's snout as the dragon merely looked at the two, completely docile. It was true that Morghul was the calmest dragon when it comes to non-Targaryens. That is merely because it had the strongest bond with Rhaegon. It felt what Rhaegon felt. If Rhaegon did not consider anyone a threat, Morghul will feel at ease. However, Morghul does have an instinct, it could feel any danger that Rhaegon can not. And right now, the two Sand Snakes posed no threat.

"A-Amazing..." Obara said as she smiled, "He's so...Perfect....."

Rhaegon chuckled as he looked at them, "Is that so?" He asked

"Y-Yea..." Nymeria said with a smile

Rhaegon then looked over at Tyene, "Would you like to approach?"

Tyene looked away, "No." She said softly

"Come now, my girl." Ellaria said softly, "This is a big opportunity, not anyone can approach a dragon like this."

"I don't care." Tyene said, "Can I leave?"

Doran sighed, "My Niece." He said, "You agreed to this, did you not?"

"I will not be sold to someone like him." Tyene said with frustration as she walked away

Oberyn saw this but said nothing.

Rhaegon looked back at Morghul, "Hm.." He said as he then looked at Nymeria, "You."

Nymeria looked at him, "Hm?" she said

"Nymeria, right?" Rhaegon said as he raised his hand and touched her cheek, "What are your thoughts?"

She raised an eyebrow, "My thoughts?"

"This whole ordeal." Rhaegon said

"Hm...." Nymeria said, "Perhaps we'll kill you in your sleep when you lay in bed tonight."

"Or perhaps we'll do something better....."

(Rhaegon's POV)

"Apologies for the way Tyene acted." Ellaria told me as I sat in a couch

We were in Oberyn's quarters, he had invited me to drink some wine with them and I could not just refused.

"It is fine." I said as I looked at the cup, "I don't blame her, really. I wouldn't be so willing to be.....well, sold to a man.....especially if I am not marrying him."

"Well, yes." Oberyn said as he sat, "Rhaegar and I spoke about this. We cannot have a bastard marrying a Highborn like yourself. And Robert is a temperamental man, that will be an insult to him."

"Are you not interested in drinking?" Ellaria said

I looked at the cup, "Well, it is not that." I said, "It's just that...."

"Dragonriders and all." Oberyn chuckled, "I am aware of your paranoia for poison. But tell me, are you seriously worried about poison? You?"

I looked at him, "What do you mean?"

"Your Mother once delved in magic, did she not?" Oberyn said, "When she was pregnant with you, she performed some....rituals."

I raised an eyebrows, "Rumors, only." I told him, "About the rituals she did when I was in her belly. The rest is well, the truth, she liked to make magic charms in her youth."

"Ah, but I was there present when she did some." Oberyn said with a chuckle, "She helped my niece, Rhaenys, when she was a babe. Used her magic to cure her of a fever. Her magic was real. And she did a spell on you, one that was proven right by our fight."

"What are you trying to say?" I asked with a serious tone

"That day, I accidentally used the wrong spear." Oberyn said, "Typically, I use poison-tipped spears when in battles to the death. But when you came to challenge me, I told my daughters to fetch me a bare spear. They did....but I was already a bit drunk and accidentally grabbed the poisoned one."

I widened my eyes and stood up, "You did what?!" I exclaimed, "That wound on my thigh.....!!"

"That's right, it was a poisoned wound." Oberyn said as he drank from his cup

"You....!!" I said with anger, "Oberyn!!"

"But you were not affected by it." He said with a chuckle, "It was The Manticore. Trust me, you were supposed to die in hours with that mere wound. But you did not, you were stitched up and after we kept you overnight to examine you, we were confident you were fine."

"Oberyn was so worried about it and he thought he used the right spear after all." Ellaria said, "But he tested the spears out and the one he used against you killed a prisoner within an hour of being grazed with it."

I can't believe this shit. They had accidentally used a poisoned weapon against me?! What kind of fucking incompetence is this?! This is fucking stupid!!

"You...." I said as I tried to calm down, "W-What?!"

"You are immune to poison and other aliments." Oberyn said,

"Be glad of it."
