Chapter 7: Refreshed and in High Spirits

Xie Wanqiu seemed to be very panicked, and Li Wei could tell her breathing was incredibly uneven at this moment.

But he could understand that this was, after all, her office. For a woman like her, if she could still breathe steadily at this moment, it would be truly strange.

Li Wei had been sleeping in a separate room from Wang Juan for several months now, and all this time Wang Juan had been claiming to work overtime, coming home late.

Every time Li Wei offered to pick her up, Wang Juan always said it was too cold to ride an electric scooter, and she would take a taxi home, telling him not to come.

For a man, especially one around thirty with vigorous energy, the months had indeed been torturous.

And at this moment, Li Wei became especially angry thinking about Wang Juan, under the pretext of working late, spending evenings at the daycare facility with Qian Jiahao.

Now, he wanted to vent all his anger on Xie Wanqiu; he wanted her to pay for Qian Jiahao's debt.

"You... why are you being so barbaric..."

Xie Wanqiu had been married to Qian Jiahao for many years, and he had always been very refined, which led her to believe that this was the way things should be.

But Li Wei, as he was now, seemed exceptionally rough, making it particularly hard for her to accept.

"Like Qian Jiahao, that refined scum? Sorry, I've always been this crude."

Originally, Xie Wanqiu's heart was resistant.

But gradually, she found that Li Wei was a very special man, and he seemed to give her a different feeling than Qian Jiahao.

The office clock ticked by second by second, and without realizing it, Xie Wanqiu had let down her guard and began to enjoy the moment's pleasure.

And her breaths became louder and louder, making Li Wei grow nervous as well.

"Control your breathing, you're louder than my snoring. People outside can hear."

"Shut up, you bastard!"

After coldly insulting Li Wei, Xie Wanqiu realized that she had lost her composure just now.

Now, she finally understood why Li Wei had asked her to bite the corner of the desk earlier; it was to prevent these sounds.

Since it was revenge against Qian Jiahao, Li Wei naturally wouldn't just let it go so easily.

After a long time of vengeance, he finally stopped.

And Xie Wanqiu, who had never experienced anything like this before, was now slumped on the ground, completely drained of strength.

After Li Wei tidied himself up, he walked over to the water dispenser and drank several cups of water in a row using a disposable cup.

Then, he passed one to Xie Wanqiu.

"Drink some water. You're sweating so much; you must be severely dehydrated."

Xie Wanqiu glared at him fiercely, weakly taking the cup from him.

Li Wei knew that Xie Wanqiu was blaming him for being too ruthless in his revenge.

He smugly pulled tissues from the box on the table while curiously picking up and starting to read a business plan next to the desk.

By then, Xie Wanqiu had gradually stood up.

When she saw this, she snatched the business plan out of Li Wei's hands.

"Who let you touch my things? We're even now. Get out, and don't let me see you again!"

Li Wei spread his hands, smiling helplessly, "I've wrapped those up with tissues for you to take out. You might want to open the windows to air out the place later, it smells quite strong of sweat."

Xie Wanqiu sat in her chair, not bothering to look at him any longer.

As Li Wei turned to leave the office, he turned back and added to Xie Wanqiu, "There's something wrong with your business plan. There are two sections where you can't reduce the operating costs if you want to achieve the expected results. Also, the overall focus of the plan deviates from the theme. If you have time, you'd better go get a better understanding of it, personally."

After saying this, Li Wei left her office with a smug expression on his face.

After hearing Li Wei's words, Xie Wanqiu frowned, picked up the business plan, and looked at it again. Upon closer consideration, she realized that he had indeed pointed out real issues.

"Who would have thought, this bastard actually knows about these things?"

Gradually, she felt much more refreshed, and if she had to describe it in two words, it would be: clarified!
