In the afternoon, Liang Jingxian selected a van, and after obtaining all the necessary documents for nearly 100,000 yuan, the next day he set off with his father, two employees from Jiancheng, and two staff members from the county and township offices arranged by Ding Yi, as well as Dai Li, making a total of seven people, to conduct on-site inspections in the surrounding villages.
When they arrived, the villagers from each village were incredibly enthusiastic. Compared to Huang Liang Village, the surrounding villages were much better off—with most places having constructed roads, and even where there was no concrete pavement, at least vehicles could pass through safely.
The inspections revealed that some of the paddy fields in certain villages indeed had problems, but the vast majority were still suitable for crayfish farming in shrimp fields.
