For Shen Ruoxi, the high number of votes her work received was a delightful surprise. Even though it was only selected as a backup, she was already very happy.
Bai Feifei announced the results with a smile that did not reach her eyes, trying to keep herself as calm as possible.
"Congratulations, Ruoxi," she said.
"Thank you," Shen Ruoxi replied.
She always seemed to unconsciously lower her head when facing Bai Feifei.
It could have been because of Bai Feifei's status as the official fiancée, giving her a great deal of pressure. So much so that even now, with her work being selected, she couldn't bring herself to be happy.
Seeing her expression, a mocking look flashed in Bai Feifei's eyes. Now acting all pitiful—she wondered who Ruoxi was trying to impress.
Shen Ruoxi did not continue to investigate who had torn up her draft; she just hoped she could leave this place soon.
The bitterness in her heart was something she knew all too well.
