'Strange...where am I?'
Kaage didn't know where he was. He was in a pitch-black room just like in his dreams. Kaage said, 'Am I dreaming again?' 'But... this is nonsense! My nose was bleeding and then I fainted. But how did I manage to faint? ...Ah! Of course, why do I blame myself for the voice inside my head... But isn't it my inner voice?...Ah, never mind! What will happen again and what will I see now?'
Kaage looked around as usual. However, he couldn't see anything since every corner around him was dark. Realizing this, Kaage decided to move. 'What? My body - is there something preventing me from moving? Why can't I move? My body is completely rigid...ahhh.' 'not 'something' there's 'someone' here.'
'Someone, but who is this person? Is it the mysterious voice from my first dream? Or is it the person from before? Who?' Kaage decided that there was someone where he was and gave in to paranoia. But there really was someone there. The person was someone Kaage could never have guessed. And he could never deal with him, not yet.
Suddenly the ground started shaking.
Kaage said, "What's going on?"
The ground's shaking stopped suddenly. "Stopped- ahh fuck!" The ground is shaking has stopped, but seconds after it stopped, instead of the tremors continuing, were sucking Kaage in like a black hole.
'ahaha what a shitty nightmare.'
Kaage realized that he could move as the ground swallowed him, so he struggled to keep the ground from swallowing him.
It had swallowed half of Kaage's body. It had stopped swallowing exactly when it reached his torso. 'Did it stop this time? Really? After swallowing half of my body? Oh well, something will happen. The ground has stopped swallowing... that's a sign that something will happen.'
thump thump
'Footsteps...someone is coming!' Kaage went on alert the moment he heard the footsteps, but since half of his body was underground, he knew that it was impossible be on the alert and escape, so he just waited in fear for the owner of the footsteps.
The footsteps were starting to get closer. Kaage was just waiting, after all, that was all he could do.
And the footsteps stopped. At the same time, a shadow was falling on Kaage. Kaage could not say or think any sentence.
"WAKE UP!" he said in a deep, glitchy voice. With that, the ground suddenly disappeared and Kaage began to fall. Kaage couldn't react; he knew he should scream or be afraid, but he felt as if his emotions had been erased. He was just falling...into the void.
---
Kaage again suddenly woke up but realized that he wasn't where he had fainted, he was in a bed, the person lying next to him had obviously carried him. Kaage was looking at Hayato in silence for a long time. 'He fell asleep...' He took his gaze off of him and focused on thinking about something else. 'Another shitty dream and a shitty ending. Why didn't I feel anything when I fell... Maybe my emotions are slipping away from me.'
'The voice... why was it like that? Maybe it wasn't human. It was real, how did it get into my dreams- oh right, everyone gets into my dreams. Why can't I have a normal dream? I'm sick of nightmares.'
While Kaage was deep in thought, he left his bed and put the blanket he used to sleep on Hayato. What he did while standing was to get lost in his thoughts and immerse himself in the void inside the tent.
Kaage's condition had gotten worse after he fainted. His thoughts and dreams had started to swallow him and consume him. He was in recurring thoughts like the current situation.
And in this state, he was so defenseless that his thoughts were cutting him off from the outside world, his perception of time or space was beginning to fade. His dreams were slowly beginning to exploit his emotions, but the reason his emotions were disappearing was because of the power that lived inside him, the power that wanted to exploit the lives of everyone around Kaage. That power that Kaage was not using was impatient and wanted to emerge. So when will Kaage realize this?
Kaage began to speak slowly, "Shadows..." It seemed that he had let this word slip out of his mouth while lost in thought. However, this sentence he made was enough for his power to be activated; Kaage's uncontrollable power had come to life with a single word and preparing to attack.
Kaage's shadow slowly began to spread around, and at that moment, Kaage didn't know what was happening around him, he continued with his thoughts.
The shadows stopped as if they had received an order from Kaage, just as they were about to come out. The shadows spread out throughout the tent, but they were not absorbing anything. Instead, they seemed to block everything that came from outside.
It continued like this for a while, Hayato his sleep, Kaage his thoughts.
Only after a while did Kaage begin to realize where he was and what he was doing. At this, the shadows began to tremble and move slightly backwards towards Kaage, until Kaage heard footsteps coming towards the tent. As the shadows retreated, they suddenly returned to their previous positions.
The footsteps were getting closer and the shadows were stretching back as if preparing to attack.
The person who entered the tent took a step, and the sound heard in the tent at the moment he took a step was the sound of something being stabbed. All the shadows that had scattered inside the tent a second before the man who entered the tent gathered there, and the STAB hit the man standing in front of the shadows right in the heart. Before the man could even react, he collapsed to the ground, and his blood began to flow from his body. However, no matter how much blood was spilled, the shadow would suck and exploit that blood.
Now, as the lifeless body fell to the ground, Kaage was shaken out of his thoughts. The first thing he did was look in the direction of the voice, and what he saw was the doctor's body slumped on the ground. Kaage said, "Wha- what happened here?" After saying these words, he stood up and walked towards the body. And what he saw shocked him even more; his own shadow was sucking all the blood flowing from the dead body. Kaage thought to himself, "What happened while I was in my thoughts? Why did my power go out of control, and why is my shadow sucking the blood on the ground?"
After a few seconds of silence, he said in a cold voice, "Haah... the body will cause me trouble."
"Wait a minute... If my shadow sucks blood, will it also swallow the body?" Kaage sincerely and pleadingly wanted the body to disappear, and as if the shadows had been ready since yesterday, they were slowly digesting the body. There was no trace left of the dead body. There was no trace, as if nothing had happened there.
---
The figure slowly coming from the darkness stopped in place at Mr. Hatamoto's hand gesture. At the point where he stood, only half of his body was illuminated; the only part of him that was visible was his waist down; his face was lost in the darkness.
The standing figure bowed his head and waist as if asking for permission to speak. With this gesture, Mr. Hatamoto gave a small nod for him to speak, and said "Speak" in a cold and serious tone.
The figure in the shadow began to speak without changing his previous stance, "Sir, the child you took with you has now been taken to the doctor's tent. Young Master Hayato has chosen to stay with him."
"So how is the child's condition?"
"They're currently trying to figure out how and why he had so much blood coming out of his nose. But if you take my advice, sir, this is more of a situation that an ability user doctor would look into than a normal doctor."
After saying these words, Mr. Hatamoto looked at the figure standing in the dark and said, "As far as I can see, you have a ton more to say. Tell me your ideas, I'm open to them, after all, you are a very reliable knight."
After these words, the figure in the shadow put a big and sneaky smile on his face. Smiling, he looked at his master and started to speak. "I am very grateful for your words, sir, and I am grateful that you will listen to my words. In my opinion, the child who is currently our guest, although he cannot control his power and control himself, is examining everything here with his eyes and it seems as if he is probably already planning his future."
"And it seems that this future is not in our best interest, sir. I think that for this future, the young master will use Hayato just like a puppet, sir."
With that, he finished his words. However, if Mr. Hatamoto asked him any questions, he had answers ready.
"So what makes you say this with such confidence?"
The figure in the shadows began to speak, as if he had been expecting this question, barely holding himself back from laughing, or rather, from grinning. "Of course I'm not saying these things just to spread the word, sir. I know that you trust me with my strength and abilities,oh, and I also have an oath of allegiance, after all. My strength tells me that that boy is a danger. And lastly, I would like to say one last thing, sir, if you allow me."
Mr. Hatamoto made another small hand gesture for him to continue.
"Thank you, sir. I think you've noticed something too. Before he spoke to you, he seemed disconnected from you, or rather the world. I mean, his thoughts are eating him up. I don't know what he's thinking, but the power he has seems to feed off his thoughts and dreams. This power will destroy his feelings and emotions, and his body will no longer be his, he will become a puppet of the power."
"However, we also know that he are planning revenge, sir. My current offer may or may not appeal to you, but I still want to make you this offer."
Mr. Hatamoto seemed to consider his words. After waiting a few seconds, Mr. Hatamoto said, "Go ahead."
"The child will start by making young master Hayayo his puppet for the future, and I think young master Hayato has already become his puppet. On the one hand, he will not be satisfied with just young master, it will be your turn, or rather everyone's turn, eventually even God's. What I want to tell you is that if he has plans for us, let's destroy those plans and turn him into our own weapon. we are not his puppet, let him be ours."
"So what do you think about his power? I understand your plan and I find it logical but it's still early trust me."
"I respect your thoughts sir. And if you ask my opinion of his power, in one word he is Dangerous sir. Even from a distance I can feel his power and it is very overwhelming and dark."
"Hmm I understand, thank you for the conversation. But that's all for today. See you later, second of the empire."
With these words, the figure in the shadow stepped out of the shadow a little more, and that sly smile on his face appeared. What was even more striking were his red eyes that glowed in the dark, and his pupils were sharp, like a ruthless hunter.
