Zhao Tianhao had extensive social connections. Although he didn't have shares in the XX Foreign Language Institute, his influence was significant enough that the principal couldn't refuse his request to enroll a student. Thus, on the way to the institute, a few words from Hu Ge easily secured Ye Qian's admission.
After learning the location of the administrative office, Ye Qian headed straight there. Before he even reached the door, he heard some suspicious noises coming from inside. Ye Qian, though not a seasoned womanizer, wasn't naive either. He could guess what was happening inside. He was slightly shocked to hear such indecent activities in a supposedly sacred place like a school.
Pausing briefly, Ye Qian knocked on the office door.
Immediately, he heard the sound of hurried dressing inside, followed by an impatient male voice, "Come in!" Ye Qian couldn't help but mischievously wonder if his knock had scared the man into impotence. If so, that would be quite unfortunate.
Upon entering, Ye Qian saw an elderly man in his early fifties sitting behind a desk, glaring at him with some anger, clearly displeased by the interruption. Next to him stood a young woman in her early thirties, who, instead of showing any embarrassment, flashed a seductive smile at Ye Qian. The woman's sultry eyes made Ye Qian shiver involuntarily. Though not particularly attractive, her eyes had a captivating charm.
Ye Qian, with a thick skin as impenetrable as Xi'an's city walls, wasn't easily swayed by her attempts at seduction. He grinned and said to the toad-like head of the administrative office, "You must be the head of the administrative office? I'm Ye Qian, a new transfer student. I hope I didn't interrupt anything."
Though Ye Qian's words were polite, the toad could sense a tone of mockery and threat. Despite his poor reputation among students, he still wanted to maintain a semblance of dignity as a teacher. Hearing Ye Qian's words, the toad hastily replied, "Ye, you misunderstand. Miss Pan and I were just discussing some matters."
"Understood, understood! I didn't hear anything just now!" Ye Qian said with a smile.
The toad nodded slightly, thinking that Ye Qian knew how to play along. However, with his misdeeds now in Ye Qian's hands, he knew he had to offer some benefits. If Ye Qian spread the word, his career could be at risk, and if Pan Lian's husband found out, his life could be in danger. "The principal has already informed me about you. You'll join the French Department, Class 03. I'll call your homeroom teacher to introduce you. If you have any issues at school, feel free to come to me. We teachers are here to help students with their difficulties," the toad said with a facade of benevolence.
Ye Qian knew the toad was trying to bribe him but didn't expose it. Having the head of the administrative office's support could be beneficial for his time at the school. "Thank you, sir. You're truly a model teacher. It's an honor for us students to learn under your guidance," Ye Qian said, buttering him up.
The toad clearly enjoyed Ye Qian's flattery but continued to maintain his righteous act. "As long as you study hard and contribute to the country, it will be worth our efforts as teachers," he said.
"Absolutely, I'll strive to follow your example and excel in my studies," Ye Qian said, though he secretly thought he would also study how to deal with the teachers and students here.
The toad nodded slightly, not wanting to continue the conversation. Having been startled by Ye Qian, he was now eager for him to leave so he could resume his activities with Pan Lian. He called Ye Qian's homeroom teacher, and soon there was a knock on the door.
When Ye Qian saw who entered, he was pleasantly surprised. This trip to the XX Foreign Language Institute was already proving worthwhile. The newcomer was a young woman, no older than thirty, dressed in professional attire, with her hair neatly tied back and wearing black-framed glasses, exuding an intellectual charm. If this was his homeroom teacher, they would have plenty of time to interact. Ye Qian couldn't help but smile.
"Director Huang!" the woman greeted the toad respectfully.
"Hmm," the toad nodded. "This student has just transferred and will be in your class, Teacher Qin Yue. Do you have any questions?"
Teacher Qin Yue turned her gaze to Ye Qian, who was staring at her dumbfounded, even drooling. Disgusted, she frowned and wanted to reject the toad's arrangement. However, he was the head of the administrative office, so she couldn't refuse. Glaring at Ye Qian, she said coldly, "Class is about to start. Follow me!"
"Director, I'll be going then. Please continue," Ye Qian said with an ambiguous smile, clearly indicating his knowledge of the situation.
The toad understood Ye Qian's meaning and nodded slightly. "If you have any issues, feel free to come to me."
Seeing Ye Qian and the toad chatting so amiably and hearing Ye Qian's flattery, Qin Yue felt uncomfortable. Everyone at school knew the toad's character, and Ye Qian's flattery only made her dislike him more, associating him with the toad.
After leaving the office, Ye Qian followed Qin Yue, admiring her figure and murmuring, "What a nice figure, so round and perky."
