So you are wild too

With Li Wei's reminder, Ye Qian recalled that indeed, all their team members' phones were equipped with global GPS satellite tracking systems and special software that allowed them to make calls for free. Speaking of Wolf Fang, many people outside thought they were just a bunch of simple mercenaries. In reality, their team was full of talents. For example, the system and software on their phones were installed by Snow Wolf Jack, a computer genius who had even hacked into the FBI and CIA computers without being detected.

Ye Qian smiled awkwardly and said, "Old habits, old habits."

Li Wei, half amused and half exasperated, knew that Ye Qian's forgetfulness was well-known within Wolf Fang. However, Ye Qian's memory for important matters was exceptionally sharp, making them sometimes suspect he was faking it. "Boss, a hero can fall in a gentle place. You must be careful not to get too deeply involved," Li Wei advised earnestly.

"Damn, you've got more girlfriends than a battalion, and you're lecturing me? Get lost!" Ye Qian retorted, glaring at him. Since Li Wei had arrived early, it was great news. It meant Ye Qian didn't need to guard Zhao Ya all the time. While Zhao Tianhao's enemies might not target her at school, it was better to be safe than sorry.

"Hehe, all from experience," Li Wei said with a lecherous grin.

Ye Qian gave him a disdainful look and said, "Since you're here, help me protect Zhao Ya in secret. And remember, no funny business, or I'll castrate you." Ye Qian knew Li Wei well. Despite his playboy looks and charm that few women could resist, he was a capable and loyal friend. Ye Qian sometimes wondered if Li Wei had some condition because, despite their harsh training and missions in the Middle East, his skin remained fair.

Li Wei grinned and said, "How could I? She's my sister-in-law. Rest assured, I'll protect her with my life."

Despite Li Wei's playful demeanor, those who knew him understood he was a man of his word. If he made a promise, he would keep it, even at the cost of his life. Ye Qian nodded, satisfied, and said, "Alright, get going. I have a date."

Li Wei chuckled and said, "Boss, need me to book a hotel room for you?"

"Damn, you think I'm like you, a total stud? I appreciate the process and ambiance, understand?" Ye Qian said.

Li Wei shook his head in confusion and said, "Nope, I always go straight for the results."

"Can't be bothered with you. Get lost. And keep your gun hidden. Firearms are strictly controlled here, and we don't need any trouble," Ye Qian said.

Li Wei laughed and said, "This is my baby. I promise not to take it out."

Knowing there was no arguing with Li Wei about his gun, Ye Qian said, "Just be careful. Once the others arrive, we'll plan the next steps."

Li Wei nodded seriously, then turned and left.

Shortly after Li Wei left, Ye Qian heard a car horn and turned to see a black Lamborghini Murciélago. To his surprise, Qin Yue was behind the wheel. Seeing his stunned expression, she said, "What are you staring at? Get in."

Ye Qian got in, still dazed, and stared at Qin Yue. A regular college teacher owning a Lamborghini Murciélago? No way. It confirmed his suspicion that she had a significant background.

"What are you looking at? Is there something on my face?" Qin Yue asked as she started the car, driving off like a gust of wind.

"Wow, a Lamborghini Murciélago. Do teachers have such good salaries nowadays?" Ye Qian asked, pretending not to know.

"In your dreams. My salary wouldn't buy this car even if I didn't eat or drink for fifty years," Qin Yue said.

"Teacher, I wouldn't have guessed. You always seem so cold, but you have such a wild side, liking cars like this," Ye Qian said.

"So what? Is that not allowed?" Qin Yue retorted.

"It's not that. Aren't you afraid of being too flashy and getting robbed? There are many dangerous people out there," Ye Qian asked. "They'd do anything for money."

Qin Yue scoffed and said, "No one would dare rob me. They'd have to have a death wish."

Ye Qian smirked, thinking that even the most powerful had enemies. "Teacher, be honest, what does your family do?"

"Business," Qin Yue said tersely, clearly not wanting to elaborate.

Ye Qian didn't press further. "Where are we going for dinner?" he asked.

"Western food. I've made a reservation," Qin Yue said.

"Western food again?" Ye Qian said, feeling annoyed. He couldn't understand why so many girls liked it.

"You don't like Western food? Then Japanese cuisine?" Qin Yue suggested.

To be honest, Ye Qian had had his fill of Western food after living abroad for so long. "Japanese cuisine? No, it's expensive and not filling," Ye Qian said.

Getting impatient, Qin Yue said, "Then what do you want to eat?"

Ye Qian chuckled and leaned over to whisper in Qin Yue's ear. She looked at him in shock, unable to believe what she heard.
