The intervention

I heard the tone and I didn't like it at all in his voice. "Wait a bit. I'm going to do one case today and I'm planning on finishing it early." I said.

The Doc stared at me sternly. "Danny. We need to talk about you adjusting your work load a bit when you get to my office. Don't give me that look. I'm not saying you need to give up doing what you do but we have to discuss arranging matters better so that you don't find yourself to the point you were in two days ago. I'll see you when you get to my office." He said and turned off the screen.

I sighed. "Damn. He's going to get on my head about my work." I said with a chuckle to myself. A long silence followed and again I could feel the deep disapproval coming from both my mates on my behavior and maybe something else they were trying to withhold from saying.
