Chapter 18: Pleasure

Adrian was not used to being emotionally attached to anyone. He believed that emotions made a person weak, and weakness had no place in his life. But Noah had managed to get under his skin, and he wasn't sure how to handle it, and now it seemed they had come further than he had ever planned.

Adrian closed his eyes, attempting to collect his thoughts, but he found himself unable to focus. Deciding to divert his attention, he focused on his work.

After an hour of trying to focus on work, Adrian sighed and decided to leave his study room.

Noah couldn't find peace and tossed and turned in bed. His mind was filled with thoughts of Adrian's wedding picture, realizing he might have become involved with Adrian too quickly without truly knowing him.
