It was well past ten in the evening when Adrian finally returned home. As he stepped out of the elevator, he was taken aback to find Noah seated on the floor with his eyes closed. Although the elevator opened directly into his apartment, there was an additional door that required a password for entry.
Seeing Noah in this unexpected position, Adrian quickly bent down and gently grasped Noah's shoulders, causing him to slowly open his eyes with a bit of effort. A smile graced Noah's lips as his bleary eyes focused on Adrian.
"You're here?" he said, a sense of relief in his voice.
Perplexed, Adrian furrowed his brows. "What are you doing out here?" he asked, concern in his tone. Noah got to his feet, picking up his bag in the process.
"I was waiting for you," Noah explained. "I didn't know the password, so I thought I'd wait for you here. Since you weren't answering my calls either..."
