Eden asked at the front desk about Adrian's daughter, and they provided him with the room number. 


As they approached the room, Noah's steps involuntarily slowed, and he lagged behind Eden. He saw Adrian with a beautiful woman he recognized from pictures in Adrian's study—it was his ex-wife, Amia. 


"Adrian, how is Layla?" Eden asked, drawing closer to them. Adrian and Amia looked at Eden with vulnerability in their eyes. 


"The doctors just finished her surgery and moved her to the General room. They said she's out of danger but we have to wait until she wakes up to be sure," Adrian explained, his voice weak.
