Oliver parted his lips, but no words came. He couldn’t bring himself to correct Eden.
Silently, Eden gathered their clothes, helping Oliver get dressed first. As he buttoned Oliver’s shirt, he avoided eye contact, but Oliver’s gaze never left him. He watched Eden the entire time, quiet and torn.
"Oliver..." Kristen’s voice sounded again, more panicked. "Are you okay?"
"I... I'm here. I’m fine," Oliver finally replied.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"Yeah..." Oliver muttered.
Eden finished adjusting Oliver’s coat, still not looking at him. "Go on," he said quietly.
Oliver glanced down at himself, realizing Eden had dressed him perfectly. As Eden began putting on his own clothes, Oliver kept watching, but Eden was facing away, lost in his thoughts.
Oliver hesitated, unsure of what to say, then lowered his head and walked out of the bathroom.
The moment Oliver left, Eden's emotions crumbled. He broke down, the weight of everything too much to hold back any longer.
