Chapter 2

Velon woke up with a groan and felt something in his arms and as he looked down he saw Aeris...

'It wasn't a dream...' he thought as a deep sadness came to him as he realized he might never see his girlfriend again. His daughter would grow up not knowing her father.

However, as he was getting into his party of sadness, Aeris nudged him gently and he realized his sadness was flowing through their bond.

He quickly apologized to her before petting her head gently and calming his emotions. She seemed to pur in happiness at her daddy calming down and sending him happy emotions.

After letting himself wake up he looked around grabbed a towel and had Aeris go into spirit form then went to take a nice shower.

Then shower thoughts came in clutch. He just realized something very important. How long does he have before the canon starts?

"I'll take it." He said to himself before drying off and heading back into his room and getting dressed. Nothing impressive. Just some black and red sneakers. Black pants, a black shirt, and an open red jacket. He also grabbed his phone and headphones, because you know, music!

Velon smiled to himself before leaving the house. He was glad he didn't see his family. He's not sure he can handle it yet. Sure it wasn't him, but the memories almost make it feel like it was him!

So he would ignore it till he couldn't. Was it healthy? No. Did he care? No.

So as he walked through town he allowed the memories of this body to guide him to a nearby cafe and sat down. Soon he had ordered. It was a simple lunch menu item. He had slept in pretty late. It was already 1:03 pm.

So he got a grilled cheese with a side of fries.

It was surprisingly good for an American dish in Japan. Then again, it wasn't complicated to make either.

Happy with his food, he paid with the credit card he yoinked from his father's wallet and left.

As he walked around he saw a group of three kids and realized that the group of three was the protagonist. Issei Hyoudou. The shouting of boobs gave it away.

Casting an observation on him he smiled as he realized he still had time to gain power before shit started going down.

"Two years, give or take till it begins. How fun!" Velon said to himself before walking away towards a forest as he thought of just how much fun he could have in two years. After all, give a gamer two years and he can achieve godhood easily.

However he wouldn't be overconfident, if he did, he could die, or worse, have his girlfriend somehow appear and bitch at him.

"Death shall never claim me!" He mumbled to himself determinedly as he found a nice spot and used his skill ID Create.

Skeleton: Lvl 11-25 [Locked]

He guessed that as he progressed in levels and conquered the dungeons he would unlock more. Perhaps they let him see the next one to have an idea of how far he has to go.

So with a shrug, he clicked the Zombie one and a confirmation screen appeared and he clicked yes and was teleported away. Just missing a stray devil that had been following him and wanting to do unspeakable things to him and then kill him.

"Why do I suddenly feel very happy?" Velon asked himself as he appeared on top of a ruined building. He was in an abandoned city.

Summoning trusty partner he and her watched as zombies walked around. A notification appeared in front of him.

"I'll take it!" He giggled as he saw the money. Money was good. Who knows how long he'd have till his father reported the credit card he swiped?

So with a grin, he summoned Luna (his sword) and smiled as he gave a few practice swings to get used to the weight, which he could barely feel. Perhaps since it would evolve with him, the sword would gain weight to match his strength.

Now armed he leapt off the building and slid down it with Aeris beside him. Once he landed on the ground he slashed at the first zombie in his range and watched with happiness as it just managed to look at him before Aeris came behind it and shot off a weak dragon breath finishing it off.

"1 down, 299 more to go," Velon said with a sinister grin mirrored by his dear companion as they jumped into the fray.

2 hours later they were resting on a building as they both were exhausted.

187/300 Zombies Killed

"Could have done better if I remembered to bring food and water. Next time we go on a dungeon raid remind me to bring supplies." Velon said and Aeris let out a "Gible!" in agreement.

Velon didn't even bother getting up as he swooped his and Aeris' statuses into view and smiled.

Velon himself was also happy as he could use Pokémon moves thanks to Aeris and his Absolute Copy skill. He particularly liked using Twister and Dig in combination to come from below the zombies and slash them up in combo with Aeris who would either use a scratch/tackle combo or dragon breath.

Velon went to leave the dungeon, but a motivation popped up.

Leaving the dungeon will cause it to reset. All lower-tier dungeons will reset. The first three dungeons are low-tier ones.

"Oh, that's just great. Guess it can't be helped though. We'll just have to prepare better for all future dungeon dives." Velon said and Aeris agreed with him as she curled up onto his lap as he sat up. However, as she did he noticed she got a little bigger.

He just shrugged it off and gently rubbed her head as they just enjoyed each other's company for the moment.

So rn I'm keeping the chapters short as I don't have a desire on which way I want to push the story. Most of the time I have a whole guide for the story, but since this is just a tester for now, I don't.

Also, I feel like I should change the name for Gible into something else. Sapphira sounded nice at the beginning, but now I just can't help, but feel the need to change it. So by chapter 5, I'll have another name, mostly because I don't want to change the name more than five chapters worth of times. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Just keep in mind that her final form is Garchomp. She ain't staying a Gible. We aren't Ash Ketchum.

Added Note: I changed it. Is now Aeris.

Speaking of that, I wish Gible had evolved. Just imagining Ash having a Garchomp and him and Charizard going at it would be awesome!

A pseudo legendary pokemom vs a flaming Draconic lizard that beats a legendary without needing mega evolution or any other power-ups.

Just imagining Charizard (Ash's) mega-evolved and the sheer power it would have is awesome!

And now I'm ranting. Ima just to go now...
