Chapter 11

As he stared at the bladed spear coming with intent to cut him, he simply raised his hands and caught the blade. A large gust of wind coming from the impact.

Set could only gape, which looked funny to Velon as he watched it. With how he looked, it was weird.

"If you wish to best me, the mighty god needs to do better. My pet gives me a better fight." Velon said as he powered up his foot with his lunar flare spell and watched in satisfaction as the god was sent flying away and a giant explosion happening on impact in the distance.

He however ducked under a clawed slash only to dodge a kick coming at him from the side. That was soon followed up by a slash from the gods weapon which was also a diversion apparently since he was now flying by a storm powered blast.

An as he landed a lightning bolt struck him, but he just shrugged it off with a small burn mark that was slowly vanishing.

'So divinity powered attacks make it hard to heal? Good to know.' Velon thought with a small bit of curiosity at how and why, but figured that was for another time as he dodged a blast of fire and retaliated with a iron tail and slash infused kick to the side of Set and then a dragon tail to his head sending the god flying away and rag dolling across the ground quite humorously.

"Damn brat!" Set growled out as he tried to land another hit, but Velon merely caught the gods hand with a sudden ease and looked at him with a smile.

"Mine now." Then ripped off the arm as his other arm used slash and cut the arm off. He tossed the arm into his inventory to experiment on later. Divinity was a curious thing to him.

Set growled as he jumped back holding his stump as sand appeared around him and then focused mainly on the ripped off arm as it regrew. Eventually it was back to normal like nothing happened.

"Sooo, we done holding back?" Velon asked curiously and Set huffed before he started glowing.

An in that moment he saw the core of Set being empowered by the six domains he carried. Their very energy temporarily becoming one with him. His body glowing brighter as he seemed to grow a couple inches.

Velon went wide eye as in the next moment Set had stopped glowing and suddenly appeared before him and with a casual kick sent him flying backwards.

"You wanted my full strength child? Now you face it. The power of the god Set. The one destined to allow chaos to spread over the dunes of Egypt and turn the world to the end." Set said as his spear had vanished fusing into his being and increasing his power even further.

"I guess I did yeah?" Velon asked himself as he stood up and charged a lunar flare in his hands and shot it out in a bunch of multiple powerful blast, but Set only stood still and caught the first one and crushed it in his hand before he breathed out a giant flame blast that destroyed then all.

"Huh. Never had that happen before." He muttered as he gathered another lunar flare, but this time he planned to-

He was interrupted when Set appeared and grabbed him by the face throwing him into the ground and proceeding to stomp on him over and over in the chest.

"You angered a god and now you face his wrath." Set said as he started stomping harder and harder into Velon's chest who spat up some blood.

"After your death, this dimension should break apart. I will return to Kyoto, have my fun torturing and enjoying myself with those children. However before that I think I'll enjoy ripping your head-" he didn't get to finish as a hand rose up and caught the next stomp aiming for the head.

"You know, I'm getting real tired of seeing anime characters getting their butt beat and sudddnkg whipping out an unseen power against the enemy when they say something dumb. Either go for the kill or just don't bother. It's really annoying." Velon said as he crushed the bones in the foot and tossed the god away as he got up and his injuries healing extremely quickly.

"Oh so it this where you beat my ass-" Set went to say, but Velon now floating in the air held a full powered lunar flare in his hand and appeared over Set and let it go.

The resulting explosion would have easily destroyed Kyoto and probably most of Japan with ease. He then followed up by dashing through the smoke and slamming a fist into the chest of Set who spat out a large glob of blood.

"It really is annoying. The main character always gets a ridiculous power boost somehow overpowering the boss entirely. The boss then gets angry and goes into a super rage mode. Both fight and the main character wins, but comes out of it super injured. I've always hated that trope where they both just keep pulling some bullshit power out till the episode nearly runs out of time." Velon said as he used an iron tailed infused kick to send the god flying into a now large freshly made floating sphere of energy that was from another fully charged lunar flare.

Set growled as he felt the pain from the explosion. The brats attacks were actually starting to hurt.

He was gonna have to do something he hadn't done since fighting his nephew. Strategize.

So he summoned a regular spear and his gem covered shield. He then rushed covered at the floating Velon who didn't seem to care as he just closed his eyes and then huffed before he proceeded to grab the spear and go to pull it out the gods hand, but he received a blast of flames from the gems in the shield. Followed by lasers.

"Oh he's got lasers to. How fun." Velon said before a giant amount of lightning bolt slammed into his location as he just rolled around to dodge them till he couldn't as what seemed like 10,000 lightning bolts colored like the desert came crashing into him with the force he didn't expect the god to have.

An then the spear of the god came flying at him and pierced his chest right in the middle. Followed up by the spear releasing a large amount of flames all around attempting to burn him to cinders.

"How'd that feel you annoying ass brat?" Set asked and Velon laughed as he spat up blood onto his ash covered face.

"Annoying and painful, but I guess since you seem to be going all out and even strategizing to win, I can at least return the favor by using my full power.

An so with some effort he stood up and ripped the spear out his chest allowing blood to come gushing out as he threw the spear with such strength into the distance as it cracked and broke apart into many pieces shocking Set.

So he ripped his shirt off showing his chest healing as the hole from the spear closed up entirely. It didn't leave a single scar or anything. Perfect condition.

"You shall be the first to witness my full powered attack God of Chaos. Bear the full power of The Luminous Dragnoid coming at you with no holds bar." Velon said as he held his hand forward and in front of it appeared a blue energy sphere compared to the green one.

However this one had little dancing white lights inside of it that were just so bright it hurt the eyes to look at.

However in that moment Set couldn't help, but to stare at the sphere of energy as it slowly took shape into a star and then shot off at light speed and slammed into the chest of Set.

Needless to say the resulting explosion could have destroyed most of the world if not entirely destroying it.

When he opened his eyes, Velon used a blast of wind to clear the dust and saw Set greatly injured, not healing and laying on his back barley breathing.

One eye missing, both arms and legs missing. A large cut on his side bleeding out. Parts of his internal organs visible. It was only his divinity keeping him alive.

"So tell me Set, who set this up? Who was behind all of this." Velon asked as he crouched down to Set's level and the god only smirked.

"Wouldn't you like to know mortal?" Set taunted and Velon only sighed. So knowing that the god wouldn't be giving him the info he wanted, he thrusted his arm out and ripped the still beating heart out of his chest and crushed it.

"Dude what the fuck." Set said before his divinity no longer able to sustain him failed and his essence vanished, and having no connection to the mortal or divine planes here, Set truly died forever unable to come back or go to wherever gods and goddesses go when they die.

In that moment Aeris appeared beside him growling at him. He only huffed at her.

"I know you wanted to fight, but this was MY fight. We steered that the next one was rightfully mine. Yes I know you could have evolved from this, but it was my fight, so get over with it. Just go grind at some randoms attacking Kyoto." Velon said as they reappeared in the mortal world.

Aeris only huffed before she blasted off with the speeds of a jet fighter to go and rip and tear the enemies.

Velon laughed to himself as he walked thorough the destruction and fires happening around him and his magic stopping the flames.

Eventually he arrived to Sirzechs, Grayfia, Guy and Yasaka standing protectively in front of the two kids as a dead body lay on the ground in front of them, or rather what was left of it. Only a pair of wings and a head plus half a body lay there.

"Looks like I'm not the only one to have fun." Velon chimed in happily and everyone slumped in relief as he appeared seemingly fine except for the blood covering him.

"He talked  big game, but in the end his might and divinity was found lacking." Velon said with a huff as he tossed the body to the ground as Grayfia, Yasaka and Guy stared in shock as they saw the gods face of fear and pain.

Set, the god who could claim to be only weaker then Ra and perhaps Horus. It was always debatable on who was stronger between Uncle and Nephew.

Velon found his power lacking and so he met the end he so happily gloated about brining about to everything. In the end, the fool only brought it onto himself and his followers and companions.

Hello there! I hope everyone's doing well, I hope the fight scene of most the chapter was good and wasn't terrible, I wanted to have a decently long fight.

I know it's kinda hard to get invested sometimes into a storied fight scene if you can't properly visualize everything that is happening in it.
