15: Kidnapped

Camella's POV

I still can't believe it. What could have been so important that he would leave me like this? Without a word, without a glance, without a whisper of explanation. It's as if I meant nothing to him, as if our time together was just a fleeting moment in his life.

I got out of bed and began my daily routine, trying to distract myself from the emptiness that had settled in my chest. I cooked breakfast, tended to my garden, and cleaned the house, but my mind kept wandering back to Ethan. Where had he gone? Why did he leave so early? Did he regret what we had done? Did he think I was too clingy, too needy?

As I stood at the stove, stirring a pot of soup, my thoughts drifted to his touch. I remembered the way his fingers traced my skin, sending shivers down my spine. I wondered if he ever thought about me, or if I was just a fleeting moment in his life. Did he ever think about the way I smiled, the way my eyes sparkled when he was near?
